Always thought my vote didnt matter and thought all government was corrupt. Not till a (young, because I see a difference...sort of)liberal walked into our lives who worshipped politician blood bags like gods did I get psychology interested in on why he lived this way did I pay attention in 2019 at 32 and see what sort of massive manipulation was happening in a subject I stayed away from to keep peace of mind. I followed the hate source and money and saw the flat out narcissist techniques I've studied for years and it all clicked together pretty quickly. Patterns are one of their downfalls. Just think abusive relationship. Dividing loved ones from their family, scapegoating, lies, projection, love bombing, controlling, taking advantage of young/weaker minds who want purpose in a country where its hard to find one. Its all there. Not to mention how hard it is for victims to release themselves from an abuser and how they defend them to the death, sometimes their own. Its heartbreaking. I wish both in extremist toxic tribal sides and normies would regroup and realize we the people had our family broken by them and would turn toward the common enemy together. But thats wishful thinking.

Around 25.

Before then, most of my life was spent working, playing music on the weekends and partying. That would have been circa 2003 when I started to settle down.

The ‘92 election. It was good political theatre. I was in my early teens.

There was no lead up to Rothbard? You went straight to the deep end. IMHO Rothbard is the greatest mind of the liberty movement

1984 when I was old enough to vote in the next presidential election. After careful consideration of roughly 10 seconds reflecting on the Carter years and how much better the previous 4 years were comparatively, Reagan got my vote for reelection. But, I’d say the gas lines, Iran Hostage debacle, and general down in the mouth America Spirit that was so prevalent in the late 70’s had a lot to do with me taking an interest in politics, registering as a Republican, and becoming interested in politics.

Fall of 1987, senior year of high school. I really liked Jack Kemp at the time, and talked him up a ton. In fact, it was this that essentially got me to go into Political Science in college with the idea of going to law school afterwards and the ultimate goal politics. After about 3 years of college I realized I had no interest in being an attorney but was too far along to stop so I finished up with a worthless degree...

I'd have been better off finding politics a little later and taking something useful in school...

Reagan. I was 10-11 years old and couldn't figure out how virtually everyone in my family was a registered Democrat and was planning on voting for that ignorant f*ck Jimmah Carter.

27 or 28 was when I first really started to read the news. Never really cared about politics or current events and considered myself a moderate, maybe center left. Always thought the media liberal bias was a bunch of BS. Once I started to pay attention, my mind changed real quick.

I started paying attention after Obama was elected. I was wanting to see this messiah unite the country but that never happened. It only got worst then my insurance premiums skyrocketed. Voted Republican and became a moderate conservative ever since.

When I was 17. I told my dad I wanted to join the military. He said he was fine with it as long as I did my homework on who I would be working for. I decided real quick I didn't want to be a pawn in a corrupt government's political games.

I was only 7. Watergate scandal was in the news. Adults kept telling me I would understand what it was all about when I was older which is the same thing they said about sex. I was very disappointed when I watched over 100 hours of hearings on TV and found out that it was not anything juicy. Had to wait on Clinton for that.
