Why hasn’t the GOPe done a better job since 2004? What have they done, in fact?

Show me where I've shown support for the GOPe?

I voted for Bush in 2004 because he was the nominee

Same for McCain, Romney, Trump, and Trump.

Did I truly like any of them or thought they completely reprsented me? Nope.

I've made many comments critical of Turtle and McCarthy. At least Turtle helped with the judges. McCarthy is utterly useless.

The globalist corporatism of the GOPe has sold out too many Americans. Yet, many Americans don't see it because the GOPe throws enough red meat social issues out there to distract their own voters.

But... and this is where myself and others differ... GOPe is sill >>>>>> Democrats.

People said, stop voting for GOPe so we can get "real conservatives" in there. Guess what... if you think Walker and Oz are real conservatives... this isn't working.

I couldn't be further from those things. I live in a suburban county. I know how people who aren't in a red bubble think. I work with and talk to these people every day.

Trump has underperformed down-ballot Republicans that people couldn't pick out of a lineup. They HATE him even if they agree with some of his policies. And quite a few of them don't even like Biden. They're disappointed in him and don't want him to run in 2024. But Trump? They fricking HATE him.

The Trump hate is massive among these groups. These are people who voted for Trump in 2016 and have seen him turn into a narcistic caricature of himself who mostly just talks all the time and really doesn't have anything meaningful to say.

But Biden...there's a lot of Biden hate as well. It's gotten to the point that all of politics is such a wasteland that I actually agree with several very liberal friends.

We want a decent person who will say what they believe (instead of political speak) and get shite done. There are so many issues all over America that need to be addressed. There are serious prescription drug issues. There are issues with my power grid (Texas here), issues with immigration, inflation (should have been number 1), jobs, energy policy...just so much needs to be addressed. Instead, we have floundered along with a Congress who refuses to do their job and a leader who cannot.

I think DeSantis won because he actually leads and gets shite done. He tries to actually solve problems. People in general are very tired of just ideological battles. They want results.

It seems rather obvious that nobody has really figured out an effective way to poll the actual electorate as it is currently composed.

The Dems will internally fight but come election day, they will pull the lever for the D on the ballot. Doesn't matter if the candidate is "their" style of Democrat.

It’s not about style.

Republicans in suburban Philadelphia are not the same people as Republicans in Alabama or Florida.

You have to run candidates that actually relate to the district. Not just choose candidates because they fit some rigid mold based on Donald Trump’s checklist of criteria.

The GOP ran MAGA candidates in non-MAGA areas. On purpose. No one should be surprised such a stupid strategy didn’t produce results.

The ideological purity tests have got to stop if the GOP wants to win these seats.

Can you identify the big ideological differences between Trump and Ron?

Trump barely won in 2016 because of how bad Hillary was. He cannot win against a competent Democrat.

I haven't seen any competent dems in ages. Can you name one now?

In the case of Bolduc and Mastriano, the Democrat PACs bought them for Donald.

The exception is Oz. I think as time went on he became a better candidate. I know people who met him who were impressed with how he dealt with them one on one

The majority of this country HATES Donald Trumo. I don't care if they are justified or not. I don't care if they are thinking clearly or not. They hate him, they want nothing to do with him or anyone that is aligned with him

People that hate trump, after how he had this country humming economically, because he says mean things are imbeciles.

That's been your justification for a while....people are just too sensitive. No, I want him gone because he follows up victories by tripping over his own dick. That is a big deal because the fukka knows people are gunning for him and his actions end up creating a spectacle like Peach Mint 1 because he he could not keep his mouth shut on a call to Zelensky. I had issues with him from the beginning because he was lazy in putting together his White House staff . He should have had a bastard like a Don Regan back in the day come in and establish a culture by removing any holdover and vetting people so as to mitigate leaks. But. Noooooo because in reality Trump loves the chaos and the pitting of people against one another. His policies were working because Republicans in Congress fine tuned them. So that they made sense. Of course you'll never give Paul Ryan his due on that ....or Cocaine Mitch who made sure the whole thing did not end in disaster.

Ok haha. My account is anecdotal but I'm not lying. Didn't say they hate Trump. Just that they prefer Desantis.

DeSantis 2024. That's my solution.
Until what, you find out Trump really does have some dirt on him?

This is why we don't win. Dems will pour money into Beto's gaping mouth even though he embarrasses himself routinely. You don't want Trump because he makes us win at the cost of mild discomfort on your part. Pussy.

The left hates him for his Marthas vineyard stunt.

Im sorry but that alone will make him unelectable to people.

I find this almost impossible to believe. I could believe he has a slight lead but nowhere near 40%. I live in very red south LA and nobody I know prefers Trump over Desantis

It is impossible to believe just from the votes in the OP. DeSantis is a winner and he has to be the candidate.

In November, 2022, Donald Trump is NOT a winner. I'm sorry. I wish he was. I think he was a good president, I just wish he would shut up.

I’m about as conservatively centrist as one can be (if that makes sense) and you couldn’t be more right. If he would just STFU and do the things without running his mouth, everything would have been so much better. But he just couldn’t help himself. I’ll be so glad when he’s out of the spotlight and DeSantis takes it away from him. They have similar messages and ideas but at least DeSantis is a professional about it and doesn’t piss everyone off in the world.

Just my guess, most of these "anti swampers" watch cable television, visit restaurants owned by literal commies, and live the life comfortably provided by the "swamp"

I'll never take a person serious who loathes modern culture yet supports Hollwood with their money.

frick, most of them couldnt stay off twitter, it was the most linked site on this page.

They're all hypocrites. They sky scream at the swamp but will start hugging the swamp as soon as entertainment options wane.
