Are you going to be upset when Ukraine wins, becomes a slave to the US and EU/NATO, and turns into an even more corrupt country than it was before?
Strawman argument.

Lol. We’re you in a coma during Obama’s second term?

You may be confusing my posts with someone else's.
I have definitely said there are overt-Russian supporters posting, and lots of people "totally not supporting Putin, but..." posters posting, but what you posted? Not my style.
I've also clearly stated today that this is all mostly just being anti-American because their party isn't in power, just like how DEMs were anti-America under Trump but are pro-America now. It's just polarized/2-sided political identification.

There have been more finger wagging threads like this one than there are pro-Putin posters. And i havent seen many of those types in this thread 20 pages deep, so who are you lecturing?

The people currently in charge are pedophiles and Communists who seek to destroy freedom and have no trouble using their own personal Gestapo to lock up their Political enemies for starters.

The only one escalating this to a level where we might have to get militarily involved, is Russia.

I’m not the strawman here. It’s you making strawman accusations.

Well the SEO on my thread title was bad.
The one with "globalism" got the crazies out of the woodwork much moreso.

It's not a "lecture". Many people are just posting generalities about their stance and won't get into the nitty gritty. I'm trying to get people to discuss the nitty gritty. In return, people are posting generalities about their stance then claiming a deeper analysis is "being dishonest" (in some form or fashion).

you essentially started a "u mad bro" thread. what sort of discourse did you think you were going to get?

You support Ukraine and I don't there is zero confusion there.

Here in lies the issue I have with you and this thread... It's like a built in excuse to go to fricking war in something we should have had ZERO - absolutely ZERO business sticking our fat fricking noses where it doesn't belong. I could GAF less if Russia took Crimea, Georgia, Ukraine, Seattle, & San Francisco.
"Oh it's gonna cause prices to go up yada yada"... well that ship has fricking sailed.

Obama's worst flaw was that he wasn't much different from GWB

That's the most surface of surface level thinking/analysis
Same with my last thread (that got "ratio'd").

Obama had terrible foreign policy and was a total Ukraine dove and let Russia steal Crimea. Sounds like a wet dream for current "conservatives".

we went from Russia doves, sneering in laughter at hawks like Mittens, fishing for diplomatic resets, and rolling on our bellies as tanks crushed Crimea, to a bunch of Karl Rove clones looking to blame Putin for literally all of our problems. Why? because Russia became a convenient patsy for the Trump nonsense. In reality they are the exact same assholes they were in 2012.
Posted on 10/3/22 at 2:02 pm to SlowFlowPro
so when you are ready to admit this was, at least in part, a troll thread we might be able to make some progress.
The only difference between the way you and I think on this issue is, I believe everyone involved is horrible and Russia is the tallest of the pygmies. I'm also not convinced that sitting it out would have cost us much relative to the current path, especially since this is far from over.

bullshite. I'm American as it comes. The policies, spending, and rhetoric are what is dividing the country currently with the other guy it was simply the rhetoric.

You should dig up some Crimea threads where Obama was lambasted for allowing that to happen.

Maybe on this board but in real life it’s the populist right who are against giving unlimited funds to Ukraine - this group is most Catholic and former Dems who were alienated by the Democrats as they moved too far left - most of this group has been against every hot war since WWII and against nation building and cia/us govt clandestine intervention of other countries
South LA is inherently made up of many of this group - they’re is a reason most Cajuns didn’t fight in the civil war
