"I like Trump, but he needs to turn his damn twitter off"

"I am a conservative, but Trump needs to shut his mouth"

How many of you know someone like this. I do.

Rush was talking about these types of people yesterday. He said these people are types who put way too much stock in the media and public outrage. He said Trump's tweets would not give you this kind of reaction unless you gave a damn about what the media thinks and were influenced by public outrage.

Rush thinks this is why suburban white woman went democrat in 2018. They agree with Trump's policies but were more influenced by media outrage and didn't want to be on the wrong side of social approval.

I’m one of those, but I don’t want him to turn it off completely. He still needs to get his message out showing his agenda working. Specifically the economic policies. Just quit the petty BS with the Dems and all is well. He can call out false information that comes from them, but quit with the childish attack tweets.

I used to be one of these people. I do not feel this way anymore. When the Democrats want to have a civil debate we can have one. Until then, the gloves are off.

Solid point. Never thought of it that way.

True for many, but the ones I know that say those types of things will vote for Trump, they just think it sounds cool to protest his tweets.

Trump really should hit home with “it’s no one else’s business what you do in the voting booth”.

Goes with his “what do you have to lose?” With the black community.

Americans : “I’m so tired of focus group tested, phony politicians.”

Americans: “Trump stop telling us what you are thinking”

I love our POTUS tweeting and always have.

IMO if people don't like his tweets, they don't have to read 'em.

A bunch and every last one of them REALLY mean, "I like the dude but I'm not as comfortable with admitting to the people around me what I REALLY think of them as he is".

People are totally uncomfortable even when people they flat out don't really like, don't like them back.

The issue with this is that democrats are allowed to spew whatever they want and the media not only gives them a pass, they actually praise it.

But as soon as Trump defends himself or even tries to go on offense, its pearl clutching time.

It's their way of trying to have their cake in eat it too.

They don't want to appear as if they don't support Trump, but at the same time they don't want to appear that they approve of his behavior

It's how they try to play it down the middle

Exactly.

I mean for frick's sake, they have been OPENLY calling us racists and bigots on fricking EVERY ISSUE where we disagree for 30 years.

Did they think it was "civil" when one of their fricking congressman, during a debate on welfare reform, called his Republican opponents(IN GENERAL) "Nazis"?

Yeah. frick these people. They can all die in a fire if they can't have a damned debate on ANYTHING without assuming ALL disagreement with them is due to latent hatred.

He has twitter fights with models, old actresses, women soccer players, cable news talking heads, etc. etc.

i.e. who suburban soccer moms worship. He comes across as a bully misogynist and if you can't see that you are extremely tone deaf.

He would've accomplished way more of his agenda, and probably kept the house, had he just stayed off twitter and had someone filter him more. 100% convinced of that.
