Which one? Or both?

Did you see this?

I enjoy sports, I am not going to let some political bullshite get in the way of that.

If someone I know doesn't have the same political views as I do on certain issues, I am not going to start disliking that person just because we have different views.

This has always been my take as well. Problem now is that we're not really talking about debating tax policy or having an argument over some policy issue. What has taken place over the past few months has gone far beyond normal political disagreements into a portion of society forcing wholesale changes on America and demonizing a portion of the country as well.

I’ll be watching myself on the golf course this fall, that’s about it. College and pro games are dead to me as long as they’re tools for propaganda.

Hell, as long as broadcast games are anyway, a round of golf takes less time.

I tend to tune out people who call me a racist and blame me for the problems that other people have. I'm certainly not going to spend my time and money on them.

Will watch LSU and South Alabama games.

Other than that I’ll be in the woods a lot.

Faster and more completely than most it seems.

I guess my take on this is different than some. I've never been a casual fan. By that I mean I've always been invested. I spent hours as a kid pouring through media guides and learning about the players and coaches. I learned LSU history for players and teams before my time. Even as I got older I made a point to learn about players and get a sense of who they are (at least as much as you can form the outside.)

I've never pulled for laundry.

It's always made me laugh sitting in TS and hearing some "die hard fan" complaining about some player and realizing they have no idea who they're talking about, or are using a name for a guy that hasn't been on the team in 5 years or more.

Because of this, I can't pretend the program and players have not openly stated their disdain for people like me who have my immutable characteristics or hold my social or political views. To support them now would be allowing someone to tell you they hate you and then pay them to do it. That just feels pathetic to me.

Some may be able to do that, but I can't.

My two fantasy leagues which started in 2001 and 2006 have both cancelled because the guys didn't plan on watching the games. That's 19 guys right there.

Sports and political views DON'T have to go together - you're right. But they're making them go together so now they're together. I've concluded I'm not going to watch a bunch of people - many who have never lived a day in the real world and had a "real job" where they're not making 6 figures a year minimum - lecture me about race and how I'm such a terrible person.

Exercise. Read. Learn a skill. Explore new hobbies. Football sucks.

Personally I don’t care if they are promoting this BLM crap, I’m watching because I love sports. Sports and political views don’t have to go together. It’s within their right to support whatever they believe and it’s within my right to disagree, but that doesn’t mean I have to go without football.

I do not really care about the personal views of a professional athlete or collegiate athlete as well ,but the difference is the leagues have gone all out. They are trying to pander to an Anti-American group. If I wanted a broadcaster to spew annoying SJW rhetoric on false pretenses than I would tune into CNN or MSNBC. The focus is off the game and on something completely outside of sports and than there is an arrogance in pushing this crap. Will the NFL survive without my Gamepass and the 1-3 games I go to yearly in the US or UK and me watching games? Likely. Will enough people tune out to make them worry? I think so. These celerity athletes need to be dropped down a peg or two.

I do not think I can either. It is hard to say good bye but I guess they are already gone. If it is any entity, LSU or whoever and a choice between them and my Country, I choose my Country.

I really haven't thought about it that much - I may have the tv on for some college ball on Saturday's and a pro game or 2 on Sunday if I'm cooking or have the pit lit but that's about the extent of my GAF. I don't plan on attending any sporting event or tailgating in person, unlike in the past.

Negative. Unfortunately, I’ll start rooting for them all to go bankrupt.

Supporting ANY organization which glorifies people with despicable rap sheets & ongoing crimes are new lows. Karma has been known to serve all - good & bad.

The question is simply - Why do you compromise good for evil? There’s no “decision” to make here.
