I have to admit it, I was hoping that the heat would make the Covid virus go away. I was almost certain that the virus itself would somehow die out and we’d be over this by now.
I don’t buy all the testing numbers, and I don’t know if the virus is as strong now as it was earlier, but I’m disappointed and a little dismayed that we are still dealing with it in mid July and it doesn’t look like it’s going anywhere.

It’s here for good...open it up, the way it was with colds and flu.

I thought it was the weekly news topic back in March.

Common sense says this would be here until Election Day. So probably not many.

I thought it would be gone by now.

I’ve been wrong before. I’ll be wrong again.

I thought it would be over by Memorial Day...and it would have been if not for Minneapolis.

That’s me Bass. I admit when I was wrong, and I was wrong about this.

Anyone who said they thought it wouldn’t is lying.

It was over as soon as George Floyd died. When the rioting slowed down, the media had to kick it back up. Next false racial crime will put it back on the back burner.

Lather, rinse, repeat

its here for good, we just never should have shut down...you can bet anyone other than OMB in the White House and this would have been classified as a bad strain of the flu...or should I dare say, it would have never been released...

Same. I thought we beat it back in May. I was wrong and don’t see an end in sight.

Hospitalizations have ticked back up in Missouri from their ebb tide of around 600 to 850ish. I’m going to get into the regional numbers to see if it’s in the rural areas as I suspect.

KC didn’t really get hit initially. They’re progressing through the bell curve. And the North Central region which includes Mizzou is doing its bell curve finally. They had just single digit deaths prior to the shutdown.

No one wore a mask when herps broke out in the ‘80s. It had much greater consequences and we’re all still here.

This ^^^^^^

It's funny how the old geezers and Dems on this board never started threads about "social distancing" during the riots .

We went through what I thought was our “peak” and I expected that but it’s not going away. It’s not just nursing home patients coming in anymore. I’m concerned this is the new normal for awhile.
