In a fair trial, I doubt even negligent homicide would stick since it's pretty clear he was checking out even if MPD took a long coffee break that day.

And let a carefully-crafted "wypipo rayciss" narrative go to waste?

Is this your first day ?

He will walk on criminal but civilly they got him. Ellison is stupid for not letting the Feds handle this. They should’ve taken out of state immediately let the Feds handle it as a civil rights case. But typical Ellison wants to grandstand

How so? It's already come out that his knee to the neck was part of the MPD training to restrain someone in that drug induced state.

Fine. Got no problem with that, but after the perp goes limp, you’ve got to exercise good judgment, and relax the restraint.

The DA doesn't want a conviction. He wants more riots and he will get them. Chauvin will conveniently walk right around the midterm elections. They have just put this in their back pocket to be used when needed. Fine theatre.

Because in a civil case all they have to prove there’s a reason for the case. It will be in MSP. The family will get something out of this.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the law protect LEO's from civil suits? Isn't that one of the things the Dems were screaming to change?

The good news from the autopsy was that is "back, buttocks and anus were unremarkable" so George must have been on the giving side during his prison time.

This is the first person in the country to test positive for covid but not die from covid.

It's kinda a small miracle.

He was restrained. He passed out from the drugs in his system, an ambulance was in route. From the video I saw, at that point, there was little pressure from the knee. Chauvin clearly had his weight on his other leg.

Let's not forget it says he had Covid at the same time which didn't help his lungs.

I wouldn’t be surprised is COVID was listed as primary cause of death with system racism as a major contributing factor

Remember the King case?
The city will be found liable for training in lethal methods. That why I say they have Chauvin civilly.

the knee to the neck looks worse simply because he died. It was in fact not against the rules to use and had been used many times to subdue suspects.

They are gonna have an incredibly hard time pursuing their case with all the facts.

The best he could hope for is a mistrial. There is no way that they can keep Democrats off the jury.

Yes

From article in June, linked above

Floyd’s autopsy revealed a potentially lethal concoction of drugs — not just a potentially lethal dose of fentanyl, but also methamphetamine. Together with his history of drug abuse and two serious heart conditions, Floyd’s condition was exceptionally and unusually fragile.
