How many Americans have actually died from COVID-19?

This is from an email that my dad sent me. I don’t know who wrote it, but I though it was interesting.

Ive seen different numbers floating around for total 2020 deaths
Seems like that shouldnt be a difficult number to pin down
But from looking at our hospital “covid” deaths Id say maybe 75% of the covid deaths really were primarily from covid

I'd estimate it at somewhere around a quarter of the "official" number.

Someone sent your dad incorrect numbers.
According to the CDC, just through September of last year the US had 3,165,000 million deaths. I am sure that once you factor in oct, nov, dec it will be much higher.

My guess would be that less than 10,000 people worldwide have been completely healthy, contracted the KungFlu, and died from it.
We count people as KungFlu deaths who already had a foot in the ground anyways.

You know the answer. The China Virus is a giant hoax. It is the flu that has a tougher impact on high risk individuals.

A reasonable estimate for 2020 would be your excess deaths number of 57,641 less the typical deaths from flu and other infectious disease causes. So probably about 350.
