He's running a total clown campaign. I was going to vote for him until Ralph Abraham really become vocal about his support of Trump and started attacking JBE.

Ralph Abraham didn't back down any and was 100% in support of Trump during this week's attack strategy on the squad.

I'm voting for Ralph Abraham. Eddie Rispone needs t drop out so this election can end in October and so they don't give JBE life in a runoff.

Very disappointed in his campaign so far. The only thing I've seen from him are yard signs.

He won't. He hasn't really begun to spend yet. So why would he drop out before he really starts running?

Now if he spends a bunch and still doesn't resonate with the electorate then I guess he could drop out; but after spending a bunch, why wouldn't he just stay in?

I don't think the spending starts until the qualifying is over. I really believe there is somebody on the sidelines quietly threatening to get in the race. (Scalise?)

I like Scalise as a congressman. I don't know that he has the vision we need at this point as governor. But, I don't know if anyone possibly running does.

I expected to see and hear a lot more of him at this point. Most people in this state still don't have a clue who he is.

I agree with you.

But if he ran for governor, he'd win in a landslide.

Jindal had vision. Unfortunately it had little to do with Louisiana.

He would win easily. No run off but he has said repeatedly he was not running.

Why is Rispone sitting on his cash if not for a threat of a new entrant to the race??

Cash begets cash in politics it seems. Wouldn't he find fund raising easier if he were spending now??

Their e-mail campaign for one. Just begs for money with no mention of why anyone would even vote for him, much less donate.

I'm all Abraham at the moment. I think it won't take long at all to find out if he is bridging that money gap. Then we will know if he has a real shot.

Since almost all of his cash comes from a loan he made to his campaign fund he might be waiting to see if his candidacy starts to catch on. If it doesn't, he can drop out and use the money to repay himself for the loan he made.

Things will pick up after Labor Day. That's when most people start paying attention.

I echo the comments in this thread as a Rispone voter. Have to wait for qualifying to end and the race really starts around Labor Day. Rispone has already dropped two ads and he really should saturate the airwaves with his money.

The thing here is that JBE is already vulnerable enough given that there is not one poll that shows he has the necessary 50.1% to win outright in the first round and he’s already tied with Abraham for the runoff; and every poll has had a significant number of undecideds and that’s not a good thing for the incumbent.

And wait until Trump comes to town to do some MAGA rallies for whichever republican makes the runoff.
