Right so you get plan b. The Republican piece of shite

Reminder that they STILL aren’t able to articulate why they like talarico, or why they don’t like paxton, while disregarding the massive demographic shift they’ve orchestrated over the last 50 years:

That's what makes this race somewhat intriguing. Talarico should be the easiest candidate for a Republican to beat in the state of Texas. The fact that it might even be close says everything about how much of a dirt bag and shite candidate Paxton is. Society has just accepted that it's ok for our leaders to all be worthless pricks. It doesn't matter if Talarico or Paxton wins. Either way we lose.

eta….whoops, I screwed that all up fo sho. I’ll try again….
It’s always going to be either the Democrat or Republican candidate who’s going to win, everybody knows that. Let’s hope so, at least. Considering that premise, as a general rule, which would you prefer? Simple question, simple answer. No philosophizing or theorizing necessary.

Original question:
How is Talarico leading?
Me: I know people that have worked with him who like him (normal answer)
Billjamin: I worked with him and he was a good and caring guy when we worked together (normal response)
G2160: OpEn BoRdErZ aNd TrAnZ kIdZ (goalposts successfully moved)
That might explain why you don’t like him and it’s totally understandable. Not everybody votes for the same reasons you do. A lot of people think character matters in their politicians.
Also, very funny that you were saying that people just bring up Paxton being a “crook” as a stupid arse point for why they are voting for Talarico. Still, NO ONE in this thread has mentioned a single redeeming quality about Paxton. Nothing. It’s only anti-Talarico stuff.

Talarico is leading in the polls by 3, but I expect him to win by about 20. Paxton is absolutely the worst candidate put up for a statewide election in Texas in my lifetime; worse than Clayton Williams when he ran for governor in 1990. How can any sane voter abide a former Texas AG letting loose a convicted child r*pist? And the endorsement of a wildly unpopular Trump will prove to be the sword thrust into an already mortally wounded Paxton candidacy, imo.
This country cannot exist with people like you. You are a god damned abomination to say that that fricking freak is a better candidate. He stands for everything that is bringing this nation down.

Correct. If there is anything worth noting about Paxton that is positive no one knows it apparently

Open borders and tranny communism is talarico’s entire platform. No amount of being a good guy should overcome these things for any reasonable intelligent adult male.
Someone who promotes destroying neighborhoods with illegals and the idea that we need to support 11 year olds permanently disfiguring themselves is not a high character person.
I am still waiting for someone to tell me what they like about his actual platform/policy.
The majority of poors/2nd gen+ llegals/blacks will vote for him because of open borders, social programs, reparations.
But that’s not the demographic posting in this thread. I want the people in this thread to explain to me why these things are good for the country.

Talifreako is Mamdani on steroids with a weird distorted perverted view of religion and sexuality……….
The people in NY are waking up to property confiscation and excessive taxation with zero services while Mamdani’s wife goes on vacation on the government dime…..

One of the problems with that is as soon as people say things they like about Talarico, you say how that’s not the democratic policy and dismiss it.
Obviously open borders and tranny communism isn’t Talarico’s entire policy but it is that of you only watch Fox News or OAN and I don’t think there’s anything anyone could say that would convince you otherwise.

Tell me what his platform is.
Tell me how his policy outside of these things makes him a net positive to the country.

Are you suggesting he doesn’t support amnesty or gender dysphoria? He does and what does it matter if he supports other moderate issues? Those two are destroying peoples lives, you can justify supporting him all you want but those two issues alone should disqualify voting for him if you care anything about the country because the national Democrat party isn’t going to support energy independence neither will they support tax cuts.

I disagree with his stance on gender dysphoria, but I think I understand it because I know other people that feel similarly.
There are a lot of people who are IMO too empathetic with people struggling with gender dysphoria because they are worried about things like self harm and suicide. I believe there is a balance in loving people, while also telling them the truth, especially from a biblical perspective.
I think he has a similar stance on amnesty that is further than my position as well. Caring for an immigrant is important, but it is also important to enforce the laws in place.
People who aren’t empathetic, or find empathy as a bad thing are rarely going to support Talarico. Overly empathetic people love the way he cares for others. Regardless of whether it is right or not, I do think it helps explain his fans.

Think about it, they’re bashing Talarico, and then asking what his policy positions are…. That pretty much sums it up.
But again, to me this race is not about Talarico, or his masculinity… it’s about whether Texans believe or not that Paxton gives a furk about them at all.
To date, Paxton has put his mega donors interests above everyday Texans’ interests.

why they don’t like paxton,
i think it is pretty easy to articulate why to not like Paxton.
He cheats on wife, whatever. shite happens
His own aids reported him for taking bribes
He had to pay 300k in plea deal for SEC violations
He was impeached by the republican Texas house and Dan Patrick (who has his own polling issues right now due to weed) got him out of it along party lines
Beyond all that he has charisma of a decay tree stump.

I have repeatedly stated his policy positions in this thread:
Open borders
Redistributive social programs
LGBTQ
I am asking you to either correct me, or tell me why these things plus his other policies I may not be aware of are a net benefit for the country.
To date, none of you have been able to do so.

Not that hard to look for his website, but I will link it for you
Talarico campaign website
But again, you will not care what is on his site or will say that he doesn’t really mean those things so im not sure it actually matters
