That’s because liberals will cut you off and go after your livelihood if they think you disagree with them. It’s happened to me several times.

I’m in Athens which would vote for Putin if he had a D after his name. I can’t think I’ve seen any Harris or Biden signs. Mostly local election stuff. I did see a baw sporting a red MAGA hat at an event attended mostly by libs.

There’s too many democrats, homeless and crime. City services are awful, traffic sucks.

And did I mention too many “democrats”?

If you are waitressing or delivering food, it matters. I don't need Uncle Sam taking a bite out of what s/b a gratuity for a job well done.

The only TDS I notice is the derangement taking root in Trump’s mind: imaginary helicopter crashes.
Suggesting that the Jan6 crowd for his speech before the walk to the Capitol was larger than MLK’s march on DC. Is he losing it?
Confusing Jerry Brown with Willie Brown?

Almost as bad as someone who supports transitioning kids without parental consent

Where to begin . . for starts I'm from the unfortunately Blue state of Connecticut. Thankfully though I moved to a quiet hamlet which is mostly conservative. In my town and surrounding area I've seen nothing but Trump signs and not one for Biden when he was still in the race & so far nothing for his illegitimate replacement.

As for "talk", my Liberal Jewish friends are suffering from buyer's remorse. I was shocked to see a right leaning news publication other than the Times in one of their homes. Needless to say they are not happy with their so called "representatives"

While working for early election in CT this week, (so far only 4 voters showed up to cast a ballot. Complete waste of CT tax payer dollars.), I overheard my co-worker and Moderator comment about Walz. Nothing they said filled me with joy. Apparently to them he is another saviour sent from the Gods to help push K A M A L A over the finish line.

Mostly though I hear nothing but grumbling about the high prices for everything and the latest in CT is the ridiculous hike in electrical rates that has the populace up in arms (I hear that the powers that be are rethinking this latest blunder.) Generally speaking people are not happy with much these days. Along with inflation, DEI in particular does not rest well with many.

Folks from all walks of life want our country to return to normalcy and common sense rather than to pursue a path that seems to be leading us to our own destruction.

Unfortunately, those on the left that feel this way still continue to pull the election lever for the left.

Pleae explain to me how this works.

It would work the same way it does for everyone else who has taxable and non-taxable income. There are boxes on the W-2 that identify which wages (or tips) are taxable and which are not. It could be handled in much the same way.

Trump is saying the employees wouldn’t be taxed on tips, employers may still pay their share I haven’t seen the specifics. It would make sense to have the employers pay on the full amount while the employees exclude tips.

quote:

The loss in corporate taxes will drive that national deficit up even higher. Im a republican and no serious fiscally conservative person in their right mind could back Trump.

If you think federal income taxes on tips is driving the federal debt in anyway you’re foolish.

Which is it?

quote:

the average restuarant worker gets most of their income tax returned to them at the end of the year.

Or

quote:

The loss in corporate taxes will drive that national deficit up even higher.

You can’t have it both ways.

Thinking that too, I guess for some "hope springs eternal". You would think though that after experiencing the horrors of having a daughter stuck in Israel on the 7th, there would be no doubt in her mind which "oval" to fill in on election day. I do feel though that this go around "reality" has bit her on the behind and she will vote wisely. Plus her husband, although Jewish passionately dislikes the Democratic party and he's partly responsible for my friend's "great awakening".

rural Wisconsin its all Trump.

It's the smaller cities I'm worried about: Wausau, Eu Claire, Fox River Valley, etc...my wife was on the phone with her mom (college town Menomonie, UW-Stout), and the fine folks are tired of the ruckus. Of course it's all Trump's fault

Took a trip through Michigan a few weeks ago (before the coup against Biden) and the count was 56 Trump signs and 1 Biden sign. I was going through the rural country side though, so no idea what it's like in Detroit. I would say the amount of Trump signage in Michigan was higher than in 2020 but a bit lower than 2016.

The fact that Wisconsin isn’t a 60% republican state baffles me.

I have better hopes for Michigan & PA than Wisconsin.

I think Trump wins PA & MI. Both of their governors are power hungry & know they can campaign and raise money off of 4 years of Trump

You would think more Jews would see this similarly especially given the movement in the left toward expressing support for Hamas and criticism of Israel.

Who has actually stated they believe
In transitioning kids without parental consent?

In any event, the trans issue is not going to be pivotal in the election. It’s
not the broad societal threat for most voters…

Outside of pure cynical pandering, I have yet to hear why this is a policy we should support or promote.

Tips for delivery drivers mostly go to maintenance on their vehicles. That's a work expense. Why should companies be allowed to pay taxes only on profits but not delivery drivers?

Whenever someone delivers something heavy to me like a refrigerator, I always tip them. Most people don't. Why should that guy have to track and pay taxes on a few extra dollars a month? It's not part of his salary. If I pay my friend to help me move, should he pay taxes on that too? If not, what's the difference? Both instances are me showing my gratuity.

If you are a conservative, then you should support lower taxes. If you don't then it's just because you are jealous someone is getting a benefit you are not. It's pretty pathetic to be jealous of people that make less than $40k a year in most instances.

You weird old queer. Your butt buddy Walz made a Minnesota a safe haven for kid transitioning.

Kids. Mutilation. You probably jerk your shriveled up pud to that though.

Vile. All of you.

We had a lot of momentum here in Colorado, in 2020. It was Trump everywhere. I honestly thought we turned it around. Not much this time. Very quiet. A lot of illegals in Denver, and pushed into the already blue ski towns. A lot more transplants from NY, Cali, and Washington.

The “save democracy” Kamala Harris billboard in Denver I pass every morning on the way to work makes me want to vomit every time I see it. Love living here but damn it’s essentially California.
