It actually is. The birth control stuff depends on what you consider a “ban” but their tax proposal is literally regressive by the definition compared to our current system.

Regardless of how you feel about project 2025 (which is a deflection on your part), Trump tried to distance himself from it.

Then he selected the guy with a ton of ties to it after saying he didn’t know anything about it.

It’s baggage because Trump made it baggage.

It’s an unforced error on either the front end or the back end.

I’m probably misspeaking saying they want to “ban” IVF, but they want to enact laws that make it legally untenable to do.
politifact disagrees with your assumptions.

That’s why I said it depends on your definition of a ban.

I’m not sure if any of you follow Alabama politics, but the entire state shut down IVF services because of the antiabortion law that allowed a couple to sue for wrongful death.

The state had to frantically pass a law saying you can’t sue a hospital for failed IVF.

That sort of thing is what we’re talking about. A “ban” and “no one doing it because they don’t want to get sued” is a distinction without a difference.

People don't vote based on the VP selection. The VP is nothing more than an insurance policy for both sides and JD fits that description. Vance, Harris, Pence, Kaine, Biden, Ryan, Palin, Edwards, Cheney, Lieberman, Gore, Quayle....

Not too many picks in that group that the other side would rather be president over their running mate. Ryan and Edwards might have been the most polished at the time of their nomination but of course that all changed.

The VP doesn't mean a thing.

I searched the 922 page document for the terms "Birth Control" and "IVF" and neither is the document. Biden got you brah

Trump on project 2025:

LINK

quote:

At a rally in Michigan this past weekend, the GOP candidate not only tried to distance himself from Project 2025, he also described its authors as part of the “severe right,” adding that some of the agenda’s provisions are “seriously extreme.” Trump reiterated his position online again yesterday.

The Vance shite would be less problematic if Trump hadn’t done these things.

Like I said, it’s an unforced error.

I also searched "regressive" and the only thing that popped up was the below. Dam, I like this document so far

"Repeal the federal sugar program. The federal government should
not be in the central planning business, and the sugar program is a prime
example of harmful central planning. Its very purpose is to limit the sugar
supply in order to increase prices. The program has a regressive effect, since
lower-income households spend more of their money to meet food needs
compared to higher income households."

I think Trump was so confident that he would win, that he picked the person that would make the most useful VP after the election, rather than picking the best person to help him win.
So I am completely OK with it as long as they are prepared to fend off the cheating.

Quayle

His debate comment against Bentsen trended before social media was a thing

He brought in LOTS of Big Pharma money and administration rewarded pharma with massive deregulation. Dan is the reason every other commercial on TV is a drug company.

Ordinarily I would agree but Trump is old, under attack from every direction and just got shot. If you take a moment to analyze it through unbiased glasses, it probably is a little more important this year.

But the media has gone full blown Boy who cried Wolf at this point. It doesn't matter what Trump says, does or picks - they are going to flip out. And the public has gotten sick of this act and they have stopped running towards the field to check on the sheep. Trump can do whatever he wants because the media reaction will always be the same no matter what.

I don't disagree but if Trump was picking someone who could take over the position there were far more qualified candidates than a 39 year old who has only been in office a year and has no prior experience running a business or state, town, county, etc. I'm not meaning to shite on Vance, I'm just saying Trump didn't make this pick thinking Vance could be taking over. He did it to make sure he remained president.

The "weird stuff" about him is sticking and he's way more awkward than I thought. He isn't likeable so far. I can see now why he underperformed in his Senate race.

Hopefully he'll have a few good moments. A clear win in the VP debate would get him back to par imo.

WHICH women hate him? The same screeching harpy counts that hate Trump? So what?

The Veep pick is about shoring up your base. It’s not going to sway the general one way or another. If you hate Trump, you’re still not gonna vote for him if he picks a black lesbian Buddhist. The ticket rises or falls with Trump. The Veep is a sideshow.

For all of those that rail against the deep state, JD Vance is controlled by Peter Thiel. You all should look into the ties Thiel has to the CIA.

JD is also just a try hard with no personality. Trump is apparently already questioning the pick.

He's got a good story, which I could give two shits about but most voters do care about.

I like his policies, more like positions, especially on China, in a practical & political sense.

But, a VP in a campaign can only be a negative. People aren't going to vote for you because of a VP pick but it can turn some voters off.

Therefore stick to those positions, leave the cultural/religious/narrative shite at home and quit giving the propaganda media excuses and become a policy wonk until 11/5. If you can't do that, just attack Kamala directly and say nothing about what your position is; do like the Dems and just be anti stuff, never for stuff.
