CU is terrible it allowed billions to pour into political parties, now in the name of taxing we must allow even more billions to pour into political parties.

And you are going to get billions more directly fed in, just so you can tax churches.

The tax avoidance scams they run are absolutely criminal. You have Church's owning shopping malls, office buildings, restaurants, retail establishments, etc. and all are tax free because they are exempt.

This is all false. If a church owns a business or a piece of property, it must be substantially used for religious purposes. So if a church rents out a building to a restaurant, that’s not a tax exempt property. If they say it is, they’re committing fraud.

Congratulations on pulling an entire post entirely from your arse.

Which part do you disagree with, that Black Churches are held to a different standard or that the amount spent on lobbying has to be substantial?

Also... we be off topic a tad.

The most on topic!!
Great discussion of loserman quits preaching and starts teaching.

Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the LORD Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

Different church, same question.

So you really don't see the difference in a church supporting a position or issue, and supporting or opposing a particular candidate? Just when you think you've seen the extent of leftist retardation...

Does that sign mention anything about voting? I can't read the fine print... How about covering up a massive pedophilia subculture for decades? Different church, same question.

Are you merely sniping or did you not comprehend the OP topic?

I’ll help ya out, it was addressing religious institutions openly pimping for the Dim party.

You consistently illuminate why you are on the wrong side of many arguments.

Having a position on a moral issue (abortion) is very different than taking a position for or against a specific politician or political party.

This concept didn't even cross your mind, so you came to a very faulty conclusion (as per the norm for you). FYI, this is very basic logic.

I know very little about 995webmaster, but his logic is so wrong here, that he should be embarrassed to post.

995webmaster, are you fricking stupid, or was your post in error?

I understand perfectly. The OP is focused on the narrow topic of political activity at the church level (clearly prohibited.)

I am then saying there's a lot of handwringing on this, but near silence on a known pedophilic cult continuing to maintain their tax exempt status. The latter is WAY bigger and more influential than the former. I'd prefer to focus on the big game.

All these brainwashed sheep in here complaining that certain people are exempt from THEFT. We all should be exempt from taxes/theft.

There is no formal notice from the IRS or decision from them that black churches get different standards. They absolutely have a different standard.

For a church, they can spend $0.0 or 0% of their budget advocating for a candidate or party.

I’ve got news for you. Fundamentalists and Evangelicals have been using the pulpit to promote Republicans for years.
I agree that all churches should be stripped of tax exempt status. It’s a business and it is profitable.

I think this is the part that is flying over most folks heads in this thread...

They also cannot utilize their facilities to do such either...
