Saying "taxes" isn't answering the question.

He's leftist on some taxes, like tariffs, for example.

Again, regulations? Tariffs = leftist regulations.

Trade? Certainly leftist (he wants lots of intervention in the market which is a hallmark of left wing politics, and rejects capitalism and freedom of the right)

So yeah, you've not only not answered the question, but some of your one-word, non-policy responses aren't even conservative.

The biggest mistake you people are making is thinking the revolt against the Marxist bullshite that has overtaken the democrat party is about Trump. He's nothing more than a figurehead.

Up to this point in history, Trump is the only one who dared to challenge the D.C. Uniparty, and he has paid a high price for doing so. Because Trump dared to challenge the D.C. Uniparty he gets support from tens of millions of Americans who want the federal government reduced by at least 50%, these Americans also want legislative power returned to the states and federal politicians and bureaucrats term limited.

Impossible. They will be in chains working the fields as slaves to the elite and be voting to have the chains made heavier.

It's not idolizing a nation vs a politician... it's supporting a man that idolizes his nation over being a politician. It's seeing that things aren't so "left vs right" , and more "good vs. Evil".. understanding that there Is a spiritual battle going on that transcends politics, and realizing that the politicians on both sides are perpetuating it. Seeing them all seethe at the support he has, after everything the "looney left" has thrown at him while the weak, passive Right just sat and watched.

Do they not see that when they're exposed for the corruption, unrelenting quest for control, and disgusting perverse desires, the people want to support the guy who exposed it, and he becomes immune to the barrage of attacks for his menial, petty crimes?

right who idolizes not the nation but a politician, and have no qualm with twisting logic into a pretzel and abandoning their principles at the drop of a hat to rationalize everything he says. Worse everything is a conspiracy and they seem to have an outright hatred for the country. How do you come back from this?

This statement is fundamentally incorrect. The accusation that all conservatives are "MAGA" supporters persisted from the left even after Trump's presidency, as a strategy to engage their base. Meanwhile, the right had shifted focus. However, continuous criticism from the left has brought him back into the political spotlight, preventing him from retiring from public life. In essence, his political resurgence can be attributed to the left's actions, and the right's support is a response to the events of November 2020 and the subsequent period.

Reading comments on Caitlyn Clark reveals a mix-up between her supporters and those labeled as "MAGA" or seen with "Confederate flags." This confusion may backfire on the left, which has characterized MAGA supporters as uneducated, conservative whites. Now, they seem to be inadvertently lumping together moderate and educated whites based on their arguments. The narratives surrounding Deion Sanders and Caitlyn Clark, along with the persistent targeting of Trump, have alienated more Caucasian moderates, ignoring the country's demographic realities. This approach may have politically undermined them in the upcoming election, even before considering Joe Biden or the economic situation.

No. I support specific policies, not people.

It's not shocking you thought that was clever, though.

My position isn't "anti-DEM" or "pro-Trump" and doesn't shift with the messaging of either (unlike MAGA, which does). My preferred policies are set regardless of what either state.

I hear you, but the only path to achieving the policies you support is to elect the candidates that are most likely to make those policies a reality.

Dude is a billionaire who owns golf courses all over the world and has a model for a wife. He could be in retirement enjoying all of those things. He didn't even take a salary as POTUS.

How is that being in it for himself?

David is one of the dumbest posters on TD.com. The dude hangs out on Reddit all day with the very same people he is complaining about in this thread. That's how much self-awareness he lacks which is generally a sign of a sub 80 IQ.

Agreeing with someone doesn't mean you aren't a free thinker. It just means you share the same opinions.

Reveling in being the center of attention. He was on top of the world Nov 2016 where everyone in the world was talking about him. Being an egomaniac this was a hit of the best drug imaginable and like an addict has been chasing that high ever since. And no amount of money or model wife can satisfy it

I feel like Trump doing the tariff thing was more of a reaction to how countries like China trade with us. Almost like saying, "We're going to treat your imports the same way you treat ours."

This mindset was on display in a Jack Ryan novel, Debt of Honor. The adversary in the book was Japan, not China, but the premise was similar. Congress passed a law stating that our trade laws would mirror our trading partner's laws and all hell broke loose.

Love my country. Dont have much regard for the people leading it nor the direction they wish to take it.

I’m supporting DJT in November. Have loyally voted Pub ever since I began to vote. Pubs always talk a good game but a lot of post-Reagan years went by and finally realized that’s about all they accomplished unfortunately ……talk.

Quite a few don’t like DJT I get it, but they offer no concrete alternative except more of the same there had been already for years before he got involved. Been there, done that.

That era of GOP wasn’t making much headway against the Dem machine. If they had been, there’d be something notable to show for it.

If that’s a cult member….so be it I suppose.
