First off American Jews are no monolith voting block. Second, know plenty of American Jews that do not support the unrestrained attacks on the Palestinian populace. Third, it’s nyc. Since you’ve never been you would know but no group is a real majority and if you love a few blocks over you’ll go from a minority to a majority pretty easy. Were you aware nyc is a majority minority city?
