800 billion in annual interest? Was 475 billion in 2022...up 130 billion from 2021. Its exploding

Current spending is 5.5 Trillion. Not long ago pushing beyond 4 Trillion was big deal

We have no chance of avoiding a complete disaster with this much of our taxation going towards interest...

Things just excellerate from here.

Instead of plead for a Green New Deal we can't afford nor prove will make a difference

We need to start with baby steps to financial freedom

If they can print money

Then they can just as easily cancel the debt to pay it back, right?

Who gets this interest money?

800 billion needs to be a debate topic...its top 5 highest obligation we have

Even if we stopped overspending (we have done the opposite), this is going up.

Send China a bill for Covid. Reduce that amount from the amount we currently owe them - should take care of most of it

all you have to do is for your central bank to revalue the price of gold from the current valuation to a super high number. this assumes that the USA still has gold reserves. i think canada replaced all their gold with US bonds. i read an article where the head of the dutch central bank said this was an option.

This system seems destined to spur on corruption and eventually collapse.

And it looks like this outcome is BY DESIGN.

The most obvious is to never pay back. Second option would be to over inflate money supply, think a 100.00 for a loaf of bread. They would pay yesterday’s money back in useless money. They of course would need to reign in the money they over inflated to bring down the price of that loaf of bread scenario but probably fail, cause massive deaths around the world along with war. Third option is tho make government debt go away causing collapse of probably every country, banks, largest companies and have a third world world for awhile. This is the most likely scenario

Just cancel the debt, by executive decree. It's as simple as that.

You understand the debt isn't real, right?

There's no country that's going to come get their debts from the US.

Except maybe China.

We can’t . What we will do is inflate the heck out of our money to pay it off.

The minds of poorly educated southern males is fascinating.

How about raising taxes back to the level of the Revenue Act of 1964.

Yes.

And once you deploy that system, the final outcome can't go anywhere but eventual corruption/collapse.

It's predestined.
