bus ticket to atlanta, austin, dc, la, or even denver.

Just give them a little gift bag like we are doing for th eillegals and send them on their way.

Or, we should just drop them off in mexico.

It takes more than just NIMBYs saying “I don’t like seeing them.”

Multiple people have reported this to BRPD and EBRSO.

The limits of what I've seen with this are generally parking one unit under the overpass at Essen and 10 to discourage them from showing up.

If the cops aren't going to do anything about them, nothing will get done unless they want to go ahead and encourage people to take the problem in hand. No one would like that solution.

1) arrest them
2) drive them to Greyhound station
3) buy them a one way ticket to San Francisco
4) wait and make sure they get on the bus and the bus departs
5) follow bus until Basin bridge

rinse
repeat

I opened this thinking it was about the politicians but there is not much difference in handling . Take them all into the gulf fishing . You chum them water with tho politicians and teach the bums to fish . Bums eat and learn a trade and the politicians , well who really cares

Ask real leadership that has addressed these issues.

1st thing is fine the fu** out of people who give to people even if it means dedicated officers monitoring corners.

Give them a reason to leave.

I'm fine with that but BRPD is in such a manpower shortage that they aren't going to dedicate units to do that when they could run more lucrative insurance checkpoints.

It’s like you have not been to any major American city in the past 6 months. Baton Rouge is clean AF by comparison. The homeless problem is YUGE under the Biden regime.

But to answer your question….. Bus tickets to Atlanta.

The tents could be stopped with some sort of free housing. Don't know about the begging stuff.

BR's homeless problem has been growing for years and the cops either unwilling or unable to deal with it.

A couple of homeless people squatting downtown is quite a bit different than having a huge camp of these assholes off of Bluebonnet and then having them stationed on every exit of 10 between about the LSU Lakes and Highland.

You mean like they have been doing before and during the pandemic?

Hotels were turned into bum stations. Yet they invite all their drug dealers and piss in the hallways.

I've got a really good idea. How about every baton Rouge Democrat, including the mayor and governor, put their money in a pot and buy them houses?

You care so much rt?

Driving around town it’s disgusting. Bums under every overpass and beggars at every major intersection. O’Neal at 1-12 literally has a small encampment of tents. Are there any local ordinances that can be enforced to help address this? Apologies if this should be on another forum.

Generous BR folk are the problem. They are actually enabling more and more addicts and mentally ill people to live on the streets. The more they give, the more people come out to receive.

If people quit giving, the beggars would quit begging.

Now how do you educate thewell meaning folks enabling the beggars? That’s the question that needs to be answered.

Visit a California city. Or Austin.

Then get back to me.

Law enforcement can’t do anything about tent camps on private land unless the owners of the land file a complaint. Many of these tracks of land are owned by large investment groups in other states.
