Law enforcement can’t do anything about tent camps on private land unless the owners of the land file a complaint. Many of these tracks of land are owned by large investment groups in other states.

OK, so they can't break up the camps without a landowner complaint.

You can still bust them for vagrancy and other laws as soon as they start panhandling at every major intersection on Essen, Bluebonnet, Siegen, College, Corporate, etc.

Still also implies that someone could go back to those camps and do something to disrupt them and cause them to move and not get in legal trouble.

These people are squatting back there with no legal right. They going to go to the cops if someone busts up their camp?

I don't believe this shite... Cities normally have ordinances and zoning which could be enforced regardless of a landowner complaint...

If you have a residential lot and do not cut your grass, most cities will cut it and send you a bill...

No way these camps are not creating a public health issue, like a real public health issue...

Apparently there are, but the police have told our neighborhood association they have been told by the mayor to stand down regarding this nonsense.

If other Lawyers follow what a Scum Bag, shite head lawyer from St.Louis did, we ALL fricked.

St.Louis County, created an ordinance for begging and pandering for money.

This shite head lawyer(aren't they all?), got a Libtard judge to find the County guilty of the beggars 1st amendment rights. County had to pay the beggar 250K. And now County lawyers said to leave them alone. Now we got beggars every fricking day on 6 different corners in SoCo.

I talked to several people, and County is afraid of more lawsuits.

But, My Pops said, All cities need to do what they did in their Districts. They watched, and as soon as one walked into the street, not in the cross walk, they ticketed them. They walk into street to beg, they ticket them again. He said they solved that issue quickly.

fricking lawyers are such scum

You get more of what you subsidize and less of what you tax. It’s a fundamental principle of economics.

Driving around town it’s disgusting. Bums under every overpass and beggars at every major intersection. O’Neal at 1-12 literally has a small encampment of tents. Are there any local ordinances that can be enforced to help address this? Apologies if this should be on another forum.

Just move the LSU football team to another town.

Yup - there was a squatter in an abandoned house in our neighborhood- we were never able to get him removed - luckily he moved into one of the bum hotels during the pandemic and the house was knocked down due to blight

Give them heroin, needles, and a safe place to shoot up because homeless sex offenders are what they are because society failed them and the only cure is to coddle them. At least that’s what the educated elite say and it’s not in their backyard, so only expect it to get worse.
