I will say early on I voted mostly democratic mainly because I was a fricking poor college student. Now that I make a decent amount of money and have a real job I've switched to republican. However, I see myself siding with both sides when it comes to an election which kinda sucks.

I've voted republican lately mainly due to healthcare/taxes though.... Education reasons I seem to favor democrats

Grew up, paid for most of schooling, got a job and started a family.

Do those things, you are a right leaning person.

I was a liberal Democrat through the late 80's and 90's. Voted for Bill Clinton. I reluctantly voted for GWB because he sounded somewhat libertarian on foreign policy and I immediately regretted it. Voted 3rd party in 2004, 2008 and 2012. Voted for Trump in 2016. I'd describe myself as socially libera and fiscally conservative. Both parties are pretty much garbage but democrats are worse. Their identity politics and slow March to the left are a complete turnoff.

I was 10 when Reagan was elected. His leadership, value system and political ideology was easy to latch on to.

ETA: I was 10 when he was re-elected, in '84.

Mother worked for Harry Ried. Reid gave me my 1st 10 speed. Had I known he’d make me pay for it 10 fold as an adult, I would have told him to stick it where the sun don’t shine!

Grew up a Democrat. Entered the real world and realized how little I had in common with the Democrat Party.

I believe in the 2nd Ammendment, small government, low taxes, anti abortion laws, enforcing the death penalty, secure borders, jobs over handouts, a strong military, shooting fireworks, and going to church. As you can see, I have nothing in common with Democrats.
