I admit that I really have no perspective of how an agency like the CIA operates.
That being said, I would guess the agency is very compartmentalized and again, I trust Trump understands this better than myself. Who, what, and where he can trust. IMHO

Venezuela has something under ground that Mexico does not have. At least not in the quantity that Venezuela has plus I'm sure Trump doesn't want a conflict on our border

Durgs like cocaine don’t originate from Mexico. Peru, Bolivia, Brazil and Columbia are the biggest cultivators. Mexico is just the middle man. If the go after the source they won’t need to touch Mexico.
