At a vote of 80-16, it's veto proof. He can't do anything about it.

What about the House? Both houses have to override.

Yes, I'll vote for him. My 80% friend is not my 20% enemy.

290 for supermajority in House. It will pass that easily - if it doesn't trump better veto.

He can still veto it and give his reasons why. Then they can make a show of overriding his veto and get the people pissed some more at Congress.

Your concern is noted.

Feel free to vote for the communist party intent on destroying America if it bothers you that much.

At least you admit you only pretend to be a conservative.

What about when that 20% is a direct violation of your 4th amendment rights?

Are just silliness

Yes. I'd love for all candidates I vote for to agree 100% with me. And, that's the goal every time.

Alas, it's also not remotely realistic.

You have a choice...vote for Democrats who will weaponize the FBI, CIA, DOJ, IRS, etc etc. Or vote for Trump because he might/might not sign the USA Freedom Act.

Signing option 2 still allows option 1 to happen.

I'm pretty sure you're wrong. If you're talking about a pocket veto, that's an entirely different animal.

He’s not. Trump could veto a bill that was passed 435-0 and 100-0. They can override the veto, it he can still do it to force the issue and make Congress go through the override process for something that’s broadly unpopular.

I’ll refrain from voting in November if he signs this into law. I’ll never vote for the two Mississippi senators that voted for it and will donate to their opponents.

I'm certain someone would be mailing in my vote for Biden. It won't be me but it would count nonetheless

I'm voting Trump.

I figured this out a while ago and I'm not even 30 yet. These guys are on the same team, make no mistake about it. Both sides are corrupt and nobody is going to fix it. We lost our governement a while ago it seems. I was born in 91 - any older posters here that can fill me in on what happened prior to my existence in past administrations? When did government start to become this corrupt? 60's 70's 80's?

I've heard it said that everyone after JFK is basically told early on to stay in line or else.
