House Republican leaders notified members Wednesday that votes will end by mid-September, scrapping the planned weeks of September 21 and 28. This shortens an already tight pre-election calendar, with the House not reconvening until mid-November unless the Senate pushes a GOP package requiring quick action. The move lets members focus on reelection in a competitive midterm race, though it delays bills like the Protect College Sports Act and draws criticism for curbing legislative productivity.

It’s malfeasance, not incompetence.

Who cares? They don’t do anything when they’re in session anyway.

Even the Republican Party wants us to be demoralized and apathetic about the political future of Conservatism.

Wow. The Radical American Left really have no enemies in Wash DC except for POTUS, who is being isolated by his own political party.

Don’t worry, they will have time to come back before the midterms and raise the debt ceiling by $5T through 2029.

Vote themselves pay raises and give themselves vacations. Sweet gig except that we are paying for it more ways than one.

once they got the continuing resolution through the midterms passed, i guess they weren't needed anymore. plenty of money borrowed to keep the government financed. these republicans are no better than democrats.
