Brilliant strategy!
Stop providing care to improve patient safety ... but "we hope it's only temporary."

NY Hospital Forced To Stop Delivering Babies After Maternity Workers Resign Over Vaccine Mandate
By Brendan Straub and Diane Rutherford
September 10, 2021

LOWVILLE, New York (WWNY) - Lewis County General Hospital will stop delivering babies after September 24 because too many maternity unit workers have resigned over COVID vaccination mandates.

That’s according to Lewis County Health System Chief Executive Officer Gerald Cayer, who held a news conference Friday in Lowville.

He said 6 employees in the maternity unit resigned rather than get a COVID shot and another 7 are undecided.

According to Cayer, the hospital will be unable to safely staff the unit and will pause delivering babies after September 24.

He said he hopes this is a temporary situation and will work with the state Department of Health to make sure the unit won’t permanently close.

“If we can pause the service and now focus on recruiting nurses who are vaccinated, we will be able to reengage in delivering babies here in Lewis County,” said Cayer.

Cayer said 165 hospital employees have yet to be vaccinated against COVID-19; that’s 27 percent of the workforce.

Choose any Middle East country. They'll gladly come. A bunch of them here already.

Considering the shortage of nurses and having to compete against private clinics that offer better hours and working conditions, they better be willing to offer a big bump in pay to recruit them away from other places.

Given his ~$300K annual salary,
maybe Mr. Gerald Cayer and his 14 other hospital administrators can scrub up, fill-in and do some deliveries themselves.

And then there's this...
quote:

Lewis County Health System CEO Gerald Cayer said June 12 the Lowville, N.Y.-based organization will end the eight-week furlough that put 14 percent of its workforce on unpaid leave, according to nny360.com. Ten furloughed employees had returned to work as of June 12, and Mr. Cayer said other employees would return to work beginning June 21.

It is for the left. They can break healthcare and demand government take over.

No. No. Instead he had 14% of his RNs on 2 months of unpaid furlough. No admins were furloughed though. Brilliant, eh?

Most labor delivery nurses are still in their child bearing years. The neonatal risks for taking this scam of a vaccine aren’t worth it.

Hell unless you are in a very high risk category why take it when it’s efficacy is marginal at best compared to other treatment options.

If a woman shows up at the hospital after the 24th about to deliver she will be sent to the ER where the ER doc will deliver the baby and transfer mom and baby to another hospital with an active L&D unit or if the labor can be delayed the ER doc will transfer her to another hospital that has an active L&D unit. Either way, mom and if needed baby are going to be transferred to another hospital.

What is it about the vaccine that nurses are reluctant to take it? My neighbor is 31, female and an NP and she refuses to take the jabs. Something tells me they know something that the common man who watches MSM doesn't know.

You could be right.

Odds are, this is just more fear porn and scare tactics to make people want to get vaccinated.

This story will disappear and they will continue delivering babies like they have been since 1930.

Where there is risk there must be choice.

Perfect response to the mandates.
