What is the reason for anyone wanting to keep classified or any document for that matter? What’s the point and what’s the reason for this?

Memoirs. Pride. To insulate oneself from Deep State/opposition accusations by holding on to exculpatory evidence, carelessness etc. Seeing as Biden/Hillary also did this it seems to be a thing. But it's only criminal if it's a Republican. If it's a Democrat, the justice department has a special "Nothingburger" division working overtime to guard the palace.

I think its the same reason that most any white collar worker who leaves his employment probably keeps company info in his email/files at home. You just forget.
This is about not returning shite when you know they want shite back. At best the DOJ is going to prove extra-sloppiness and that won't be enough for a conviction.

Tons of reasons why that might happen, hence why they've all done it. Hell, I bet just about every elected and appointed official currently probably has a classified document in their possession. Probably a significant portion is not really an issue and there's no ill intent. Trump more than likely falls into that category. This is just another bump in the never ending fight against Trump.

While we don't know 100% of the documents that he had I'd wager to say that he declassified them based on the memo that was posted the other day.

Imagine if you were wrongly accused of collusion with Russia and impeached on trying to get Ukraine to look into known corruption with Biden that now looks true. This administration wants to get all that Intel back, and Trump knows what they did, and maybe trying to hide the fact on them. I can see why…..
