You can just say you hate black people. Most people here think minorities or women in the project automatically make it woke.

I don't pay attention that much, but, on this board at least, most times I see a post and think "damn, what a shitty post", I look and it's posted by Jay Are.
Take from that what you will

Black people should know their place! I know, right?
Only I never said, or hinted at anything close to that. Falcon, fine, Blade fine, Black Panther, fine, do you see a pattern here?
It’s only when established characters start to appropriate the mantle of other already established characters that there is an issue. Which is a legitimate criticism , having zero to do with racism.
But of course, you are going to reuse a tired old accusation, which has been thoroughly debunked, time and time again.
Because you are a witless NPC loser.

The truly funny thing about the whole smug bomb is they like him and he demanded they put it in there when they approached him.
Clooney voiced a cat for them.

Oh bullshite. They set up Sam Wilson through multiple movies. This wasn't some random race swap for the sake of race swap.
You're the one who focused on the fact that Captain America is black now as if that is a negative. You and multiple other posters shite on the change with the most garbage take backed by the weakest argument.

Set him up as Falcon , yes.
It’s not just me, and it’s a valid, widely held opinion that Sam as Cap is a lame decision.
Falcon was & is his own character. Established & well crafted.
It’s on brand for trash level Disney Marvel to muck up 2 characters for DEI bonus points.

Sam being Cap makes no sense. He has no super soldier serum in him, he’s just a dude. It should have been Bucky.

Feels like we see some version of this article every time a new film does very well in fly over country.

Stories like this demonstrate why trying to remove "political discussion" from this board makes no sense.
every movie/show basically needs a thread about what’s happening in the show, and a thread complaining/arguing about the politics of the people who made the show and what they say in interviews.

Its easy to say "dont discuss the politics in movies!" when 99% of all media being put out is shilling for your favorite political side either overtly or subtly

Do you consider a Hollywood writer/directors political opinion as something important?
I couldn't give a shite less what any of them have to say and it certainly isn't going to change my opinion on anything.
Their job is to entertain me, like a clown. The only thing I care about less than the clowns' politics is other people's thoughts on the clowns' politics.

He was set up as Cap's right hand man through several movies. He was shown to be a good person worthy of the shield.
He's former military, who specializes in rescue missions.
He helps vets after his military service was over.
He assist Cap no questions ask in both Winter Soldier and Civil War.
Just like Steve Rogers proved himself worthy of Thor's hammer, Sam Wilson proved himself worthy of the shield.
And the same tired "no powers" argument is so fricking lame. How many superheroes have actual powers and not just some super suit? A shite ton of them. So why is it the black superhero the one that gets crapped on? People are always fine with the black sidekick but once they get promoted to main role suddenly everyone cries DEI and crap as if it isn't built up and earned.
bullshite. If this was some rush job, sure I get the complaints. If in Winter Soldier he was both introduced and flipped to Cap, ok I get it. But that shite didn't happen.
People would rather have the former Hydra agent (you know the Nazi stand-in) be Cap over the black man.

First off, you are one of these far leftist people that this stuff appeals to. Of course you dont mind.
The problem people have is not the opinions of Hollywood people, its their opinions are being transferred into the content they put out. It makes everything suck.

I don't watch political TV shows. Didn't watch the west wing, didn't finish house of cards, and didn't watch Veep or any of other bs political show. I find them boring
If you mean race, sexuality, or gender, yeah don't give a shite about those things either. I've never decided I liked a show based on the sex of the lead or how many gay or black characters were in it. I don't understand how someone else being black or gay is supposed to push an agenda on me. I doubt I'm gonna change skin color or turn into a female from watching a TV show

The only political stuff I can recall being pushed on me is the climate change stuff during nature documentaries, and since I'm not a politician or a celebrity flying around on a private jet everywhere, or building coal plants anywhere, that shite doesn't apply to me anyway.

Now they just need to come up with an original idea or storyline. That would really be impressive.
