For what purpose? What war has ever been won by controlling the suburbs? The cities are the economic centers.

It’s still a cold civil war.
Kind of like looking at a dead marriage where the two sides still live with each other but actively loath their partner.
And it’s sad, because it shouldn’t be this way. We’re fricked enough that our friends on the left should throw in the towel and recognize that our leaders need to be stopped. But instead, they’re enjoying what’s happening to us.
And on top of that, seemingly normal people like shel, SFP, and powerman enjoy dunking on us too. We’re doomed if solid people like them can’t throw up their hands and say “ok ok, the threat of the left continuing on this path is literally the biggest threat to our way of life.”

Ok. That’s par for the course here now.
Pretending like you don't know is...
And of course you knew what I was saying and just doubling down on lefticity.

This is an ignorant post. Even if you remove the fact about one side being heavily armed out of the equation.
A civil unrest situation would have huge impacts, especially on urban areas (mostly democrat controlled). If the unrest starts and truckers stop delivering to areas, those areas will run out of food in less than a week.
"There are only nine missed meals between mankind and anarchy.”
Those urban areas will look like a mix between the Purge and the Walking Dead.

Who are these fascists?
Are they ghosts that can't be named?

Yep, biggest threat to this country are middle age white men, especially giddy ones.
I didn;t say anything about "Threat to our country"...
Hell, I AM one of the middle aged white guys... Older actually.
I am just mentioning how they are riling themselves up for a Civil War.
Like they are hoping it pops off. Nazi swastikas etc.
I'm old. I get it. But America is never going back to being Mayberry as bad as we want it to.. Times have changed.

In a war like that cities don’t mean shite. Its ports, refineries, natural resource deposits, railways and food production. Skyscrapers and urban sprawl is useless.

It's not hard to find. The information is available.
Go find it. Rather than being a lazy, sarcastic, cynic, do your own due diligence.

It’s an ideological civil war at the moment.
Things will get interesting when the Fed Gov turns against a state or vice-versa.
You’re beginning to see signs of that with Texas regarding the border.
At some point a state is going to tell the Fed to frick off, and when the Fed sends in the guns it gets real.
The more polarized states become, the more likely this outcome is inevitable.

Soros is the one I was thinking of.

What was sarcastic about asking for names?
One poster did it. And I agreed with him. Soros.
Who else?

Such as?
Oh yeah, you're the one who doesn't even know what RINO means, so I'd expect a vapid take on politics. Stay on brand.

We no longer have opposing political parties, we have two tribes living within the same village. That's why intelligent and otherwise moral people have begun taking pleasure in bad things happen to political opponents.
Its no longer just a political disagreement over whether to raise or lower taxes. Its a core cultural divide over nationalist vs globalist, personal liberties vs empowering what they view as an enlightened federal government, etc.
The two sides disagree over too much and the divide is too great to share a strong federal government without inflicting what amounts to tyranny and suffering on the other group.
The current structure is simply not elastic enough to allow the two sides to coexist.
The only realistic outcomes here are a split (aka amicable divorce) or I fear one tribe is eventually going to do what humans have always done throughout history when they encounter a group they view as "other" and a threat to their interests.
That sense of other is also why the rhetoric about "nazis", "threat to democracy" and "fascist'" in the MSM is so dangerous. That language is specifically designed to dehumanize their opponents. Ask yourself why major news agencies are actively seeking to dehumanize half the population and what that tells you about the people who own those media outlets?
Humans are capable of the worst things imaginable once they no longer see the person on the other side of the street as human but instead as a villain who is a threat to their way of life.

Oh I know what it means. I was wondering if other people had definitions and could recognize certain RINOs and not others.
And vapid is funny. The place concerned about footwear is so deep and stimulating. Wish casting civil war is certainly not vapid.
Honk honk

You conveniently left that out of your OP.

Not sure how any of that has to do with your question or this thread. But

Vapid was changed to valid in that post you quoted.

We the people aren’t starting it either
I blame rogue investigative agencies who have wrapped themselves in the catch all “threat to democracy” as a green light to try and ensnare law abiding citizens. They’ve taken people’s right to peacefully gather and turned into some sort of pseudo, intelligence gathering operation where they infiltrate and attempt to become the engine that fuels people into violence. Look at the Michigan case or Jan 6th. No offense to anyone here but I wouldn’t be caught dead attending any sort of political rally or protest because my default position is the feds are listening and assets embedded. Hell, we can’t even gather here without the Feds monitoring the conversations and there most certainly are posters here who are paid assets as well.
