Yes, Robert
My bad, sorry, halfway into a 3 liter bottle of wine and watching Walking Dead
Not really ready for an in depth intellectual or philosophical conversation
I was more looking for the standard "Obama sucks" - "oh no, u r stupid Cuz Trump sucks" tripe

Probably the funniest part is the consistent posturing as though you've actually laid out proof or even a compelling argument for something, when you haven't even actually begun to argue anything.
The irony is that this board claims to despise the establishment.
This board never disappoints.

What did those Finnish and Korean cats have that was more advanced than us?

You would like to start a discussion about this possibility, or maybe a discussion about how it is never discussed?
That is exactly what my posts outline.
Watch the Joe Rogan Youtube video. At a minimum you will be entertained (even if you treat it as fantasy)
I can certainly give you my thoughts/opinion, but the topic is so complex it is hard to give concrete answers without referencing other information.
PS: If you would asked prior to the WikiLeaks dump about conspiracy theories I would have laughed at those folks. Try to find any historical posts of me chiming in on conspiracies (do not exist)
Post WL, it should now be obvious to all that something is very wrong about the world as we know it.
The problem is that we have been so deceived that we cannot see that the Emperor has no clothes because successive generations have been born into a state where they are told that Emperor indeed has clothes and a state of nudity is accepted as clothed. Those being fooled as some point lose track of the concept of clothed / nude. Lies/ deception subsequently become the new accepted reality.

* wall of wild and unsupported claims
* "WTF are we supposed to do with this shite?"
* "HA! You can't handle 'information' that doesn't fit your agenda!
I can tell you have an innate need for the whole world to be against you and are predisposed to interpret everything in those terms, but I'm not "the board".
Also, it's tempting to apply your stench to OP, but OP has not been overtly douche and worthless with his posts like you always are. This thread is low-quality in terms of discussion potential though, and that's saying something for this board, especially lately

Jesus myth.
It is important to separate the divine aspects of Jesus from the historical figure who stongly encoded messages (in the form of metaphors) to the masses / common man.
It is also important to view Jesus as a historically controversial figure because he was not "born" into the ruling elite, but attained consciousness/enlightment none the less (virgin birth...) and was able to effectively accrue a following in part due to his masterful uses of metaphors. Religion was the vehicle at that time to pass down message to the masses. The term "King of Kings" also take on a different meaning if viewed from the perspective of making all common men Kings...
In my opinion, speech/communication/metaphors/human interactions have guided development of the human species. There are factions of people who are privy to passed down wisdom that few are ever made aware of (and how to manipulate this for good or evil purposes).
Some believe in the concept of collective consciousness manipulated for good (on a mass scale). This would fulfill the "2nd coming of Christ" prophecy. "Christ" refers to fully conscious individuals who strive for the betterment of mankind as a whole. The "anti-Christ" can be thought of as forces that suppress consciousness / growth of the person /species for nefarious purposes (current system / elites)
Our society is massively distracted by things that in large part do not matter. Consumerism and technology conspire against us in their current forms (we are more connected via electronic media than ever, but in many ways are disconnected as humans). The elites control this very effectively (mass media)
It is my hope that all of the crazy events going on in this world signifies that we are closer to this transition. With "end times" prophecies signaling doom and gloom to most, it means a possible chance at a new beginning with unlimited potential to me.

Ok, so let's say that it is possible that humans lost centuries of tech & knowledge in some catastrophic event. How strong is the evidence that this is so? What's there to discuss? Does it have some bearing on our lives? How does it imply that we are under some kind of control? Who is this "Emporer", and why do I care about his "clothes"?

So this is what happens when fans of dungeons and dragons grow old

The evidence is overwhelming
What bearing does it have on our lives?
Depends on your point of view...

That's quite a claim. What does this evidence show?
Posted on 3/5/17 at 9:52 pm to 90proofprofessional
One more thing, there is a theory that a cult exists that has preserved this knowledge
I don't buy into that fwiw

Heh, yes
The theory dives into the free masons, some feel our Founder's were involved in this
This thread has more potential than it has been given credit for..

The Joe Rogan podcast link on the first page is really worth the 3 hours to view it.quite convincing

what does the evidence show...
are you familiar with the Nazca Lines? It's worth a google if you are not...
My opinion? The top of that mountain was a landing strip for an ancient airport
What about sand fused into a thin sheet of glass? That happens with a nuclear explosion - this has been found LINK ;*
I KNOW that the websites in the linked search (link is to a google search - no spam from me baw) are from conspiracy type websites, but that shite WAS found - we also have and ancient Indian city that people were found with radiation levels similar to what has been recorded in Japan - LINK
(more google search, more conspiracy websites, but again, this shite was found...)
those 2 things are probably what caused Oppenheimer to believe that nuclear wars were fought in antiquity
we also have H blocks that were used in South America that had to have been created with a diamond drill. The perfect 90 degree angles of the blocks on the great pyramid were also likely cut with a diamond drill
we found a fricking glider in one of the pyramids as well (not an actual airplane, but a glider that is capable of flight - do your own google on that)
batteries have been found in the middle east
ancient Indian texts talk about the effects of nuclear fallout AND provide an info on how to fly a Vimana - great reading - more google for you
finally - google the term OOPART
so, I KNOW that many will think I am batshit crazy - whatever
the evidence is indeed overwhelming that mankind had access to high technology
happy reading baw

Part of me wants this HLI guy to be legit simply because I want to see a space elevator built in my lifetime. I first found out about the orbital ring elevator from the original thread, and knowing that could be built with current technology blew my mind.
Also, the ancient civilization stuff is incredibly fun to read, even if you take it all as fantasy. So keep us up to date Thine, the original thread made for great bathroom reading if nothing else, and actually brought some real things to my attention that I didn't even know existed.
