so it’s hard to dismiss anything completely outright

Here is where we disagree. Things that distract from legitimate questions and have no basis in reality should be dismissed outright. Such silliness, if allowed to continue, only serves to undermine the legitimacy of other, real, historical “untruths”

For the record. I disagree. I understand your point though. There are "mis-truths" these days. Maybe by design?

Like saying star forts weren’t designed for military defense. Or like saying a polygonal fort is a star fort and all of our examples of both today are really thousand year old structures..

Plausible? I find it still something to wonder about. Point of the debate is in a broader sense is not to focus on the star forts, so much but more on the journey for "truth" of the person expressing thoughts here.

SOMEHOW, we are to believe a building project that required 16 MILLION BRICKS(!!) in 1846 was necessary to build a "Fort"?

Have the bricks been counted?

Was other options available at the time as per material to build a fort of that design?

Then maybe he should pick something that we don't know the "truth" about.

Many do question that "truth". I am not qualified to say otherwise.

yeah, humans could build the pyramids 5000 years ago, the pantheon in the 1st century, the Hagia Sophia in the 5th century, the great wall starting the in 7th century, but couldn't ship some bricks and build a few walls ever the course of 20+ years in the mid 1800s. There is nothing abnormal about that forts construction, it's an extremely typical fortification of the time, built for the completely rational reason of securing a deep water harbor located next to very important trade routes

Wtf?
This was 19th Century America not Mesopotamia ??

Ancient mesopotamia who also built things like the Etemenanki and the numerous other ziggurats... All by hand making bricks or even more labor intensive construction materials.

they moved the bricks via ship it took them awhile. if you study the map of this time, this area makes sense.

remember the flag flying on the frying pan in the middle of the ocean shown during a hurricane, off NC? I guess that was made by as well? It served a purpose in history.

I am open to open fair discussion about any idea and crazy theory; but making a big thing of this fort is not it.

remember Thine saying the Antartica had ? it was the Russians the whole time. Where did Parmen's Antarctica threads go? Penguins were raping seals.

Liberator, are you house mates with Thine and BoarEd the lookie for his nuts squirrel? I was wondering why you had this threads subject as where you lived in your profile for a while now.

All's this thread needs is Ice Tiger man whatshisname to fly ya'lls up in this thread.

You should just start a thread titled Beyond the Fringe and survivalist ideas.

remember now, Poso and junior and others read the poli board. keep the indifferent discussion in one thread maybe and those that don't like it can lump it.

the impossibly intricate theory is also shown in Fort Fisher, and my favorite beach where the dolphins swim with the seals, Fort Story. I am a history lover I have toured a lot of forts, all intricate underground. one had a ghost in it over a certain spot, I forget which one.

All of the Keys are "sand bars" if that is how we are going to characterize them.

He term "Sand" bars is used lightly as they are more coral islands than sand. You really have to put in some work in the keys to find any sand or beaches of any significance.
