Ignore the real reason for the renaming even being considered.

Makes me sick. Carson has been a role model of mine since I was a kid. Well before I knew he had any political aspirations. His story is the definition of pulling yourself up by your bootstraps and making something of yourself despite incredibly long odds.
But nah, high school dropout LeBron fricking James is held in higher esteem among blacks than the man who rose from the ghetto to become one of the best neurosurgeons in the world. Bloody hell
