What do you mean by toxic?

Why can't people just listen to these media personalities and either enjoy them from an entertainment and/or edification perspective and filter out what they do and don't like or agree without blanket canceling them? If they suck they will be naturally canceled. If they don't they will naturally get more popular.

Basically an organized sounding board, or an echo chamber done by shiny happy people with no real background.

I consider them nothing more than entertainment and its not my kind of entertainment. I hate drama and gossip

The swamp is undrainable.

The beltway is a leviathan of NGOs and Governmental Agencies. Each a highly evolved predator feeding on tax dollars, real and borrowed.

It’s a Rube Goldberg machine that’s primary skill is consuming money.

It’s dumb to hold it against Trump that he didn’t clear out the $2T of dead undergrowth in the form of humans walking around in made up jobs.

I highly doubt it. You are just aware that no one can go back that far and find your drivel. You probably tried to play both sides like you normally do because you can't possess individual or original ideas.

Pretty hypocritical Roger. You are no different as you were one of the biggest never trumpers on here.

No president is doing that in 4 or 8 years. That will sadly require generational consistency at this point.

It's not dumb to look at Trump 2016 and Trump 2020 and look at the trend line. He wasn't any more adept at negotiating DC after 4 years than he was when he started, and that's concerning for fans of small government and winning over "the swamp".

It doesn't matter now because he's the choice, but I'm not expecting much difference from his first term if he wins. I hope I'm wrong.

2025-2028 will not be kind to whomever is elected. I actually think the Dems understand this which is why they are willing to let Kamala fail.

The Piss Dossier’s value was that it was private. It was immediately laundered to the Government. That was the whole point of it. Denying that is just sad.

I clearly said it led to DOJ involvement. There was no denial.

Just an FYI on Tim's main show he has wide diversity of guest from very liberal to vey conservative. Sometimes it's entertaining and sometimes it's boring. I would judge Tim to be center left on the political spectrum. The thing he has going for himself is authenticity or the perception of authenticity. There is a market for honest brokers in media landscape today. I don't always agree with his positions on certain issues but at least he logically argues for them. I would say Jimmy Dore falls in the same category. I don't agree with Jimmy on a lot of issues but at least Jimmy is funny so there is some entertainment value there.

People can.

But the issue is people think they are genuine, and a lot of the content is geared towards echo chamber repetition, creating NPC talking points.

Nobody is saying they should be outlawed, but they're the surculose of political discourse. Easy to digest, addictive, and bad for you.

I’m not holding it against him, I’m just not expecting him to do it his second term after showing he couldn’t do it his first.

This is where Trump becomes a blank canvas for his more irrational voters. And not just a blank canvas, one that can be retroactively altered to depict whatever they need it to.

I wonder if Ukraine has similar "influence campaigns". I would be disappointed if they didn't. Most countries do - including the US.

Tho I suspect the DoJ is selective about who they go after...
