Absolutely terrible decisions.
Not only did they destroy their prime time hold and replace the best, strongest, independent political voice on tv with a tired, warmed over company man tape stuck on repeat, but they’re destroying Gutfeld too. For the first time ever, Fox News had the king of late night, beating all the other late night shows by offering something funny and unique from everything else. Gutfeld is best at late night, a little dirty, relaxed, unserious. That’s not a show for prime time.
Also, from Deadline, it appears Lachlan Murdoch believes Fox News can just replace hosts like spare tires and it doesn’t matter because people will still watch:

I am impressed with the seriousness of the issues he highlights - and his take on them always reveals a wealth of logic and relevance.
That he can wrap in a humorous presentation is all the more commendable.
next to Tucker, he was my favorite newsperson. I even try to watch the 5 a couple times a week. abandoned Fox on all else.
