There were dozens of us back in January at work sick, including myself, with flu like symptoms...a week after coming back from NOLA from the Saints playoff game I had a cough, exhausted and a fever...
Was told by the doc I had a slight respiratory infection and gave me a steroid shot and anti-biotics and told me to take heavy doses of vitamin C...
Only one person from work got really sick and missed two weeks when she passed out at work and we were told she had the flu...
We all think now we possible had the virus and shook it off...

Sister in law had a bug in January, ran a fever for approximately 5 days and was fighting a cough during that time, she felt like crap for two weeks......can't say any family members came down with it or if they did they didn't have the same symptoms.

I have heard worse theories from Rush but this doesn’t make sense../ppl are in the hospital bc of respiratory issues- if Cali had the rona in November- January ..:there would have been a noticeable impact on ICUs there

The first confirmed case was on January 19th from a man who had been symptomatic for 4 days. So we had known covid19 on the west coast as early as mid January and testing didn't ramp up until around mid March. The CDC is estimating up to 62000 seasonal flu deaths through March 21, which is high. The cdc's website also shows ILI activity in california explode from "minimal" to "high" in the span of one week (last of calendar year 19). Could some of these illnessses and deaths attributed to the seasonal flu on the west coast have been covid19 and we didn't know it?

Not sure what the wife and I had, but we went to a ball at Lauberge in early February. The following night we had high fever, slight cough, but the worst body aches. Neither of us could move from the bed for a day. Fever lasted 2-3 days and body aches for the week. We didn't go to Dr because neither of us felt good enough to drive. The fact that I think we both may have this thing is that Lauberge celebrated thier Chineese new year the weekend before and has a large amount of chineese clients. They also fly in acts from China to perform.

Might be worth investigating on your own. I mean, CBS was just caught red handed reporting a NYC hospital was a "war zone" as they ran video showing it in chaos. Then it turned out they lied and were running a video of a hospital in Rome.
I haven't found any data showing hospitals are having any trouble keeping up with this as far as beds. It seems the only problem is all the panic creating a shortage of supplies as all the medical personnel have to treat everyone as if they have the ebola.
