No one knows. Daniels has said nothing sexual happened. Trump has said nothing sexual happened.
I'm leaning more towards daniels extorting trump, threatening to lie and say they had sex, unless he gave her some money. Rather than report the extortion to the police, he just had Cohen pay her off in hopes of settling the matter. He just didn't expect she'd be greedy for more after she saw how much money "accusers" were making.

I think he probably violated some minor finance law which would normally involve paying a fine. This does seem like it has been, forgive the phrase, trumped up.

I don't care if he fricked her or not. If he were to have paid her illegally, he would already be in jail by an overreach because of who he is.
Politicians having affairs don't bother me because they all do it (overgeneralizing). I don't care if hush money comes from campaign finance. If one were to crackdown on abuse of campaign finances, then 50% of DC would be in front of a jury.

Do you really think Donald Trump is gonna get a shake down from a washed up porn actress? Something happened and he had her paid via Cohen, who got reimbursed through his retainer agreement.

E) congress uses tax payer money for their hush fund. I give an infinite number of more fricks about that, then i do wether or not Trump fricked a porn star and wether or not he or his lawyer paid her.
