I don't give a rat's arse about the OP story.
It's irrelevant. The responses blaming him for medical administrative incompetency are not

If we assign culpability or blame, we need to place it where it belongs.

You and 100 other people like you just took a hospital's supply of masks. My wife and her colleagues in the ER (or the ER personnel wherever you live) could have used those. Stay six feet away from people, wash your hands and don't touch your face.

How in the world do hospitals not have a lot of extra masks available? They were neither expensive nor rare before this.

How do nurses and doctors not have a bunch of extra masks of their own, just in case?

We are being asked to believe two related facts:
1. PPE is CRITICALLY IMPORTANT to healthcare providers
2. Healthcare providers need a PPE bailout at the first crisis that calls for lots of PPE

We should try to get them all they need, but it's their fault they don't have them. Not Trump's fault, not JBEs fault, not LaToyas fault or Cuomo's fault. It's the fault of the hospitals and the individual healthcare providers.

During the early panic, the hospital local to me had people come in and take all of their masks. Hard to blame a hospital when the public is taking and hoarding their masks. People that did this need to burn

I hope that hospital secures the pharmacy better than it secures it's supply of CRITICALLY IMPORTANT PPE.

So since our overlord Hospital administers didn’t have a stockpile of over 200 percent more PPE than we normally need as healthcare workers we should storm their offices and do what? Or maybe all of the healthcare workers should just go home and practice social distancing like everyone else is able to do? Frick you

If you are having problems they should have recognized, drag them to see firsthand the consequences of their arrogant incompetence.

Discuss publicly the problems with highly paid nonclinical suits making decisions independent of medical advice. Discuss a structure which increasingly separates facility logisticians from points of their effort, and related concerns.

Hold those accountable to account.

The people bitching about hospital inventory management are probably the same ones that only had one roll of TP in their own house when this hit and started crying because none was left.

I'll leave you to figure out why that's a false equivalence.

So the government is supposed to prepare for something your hospital doesn’t?

No what I’m saying is that some things happen that you can never prepare for. Were we prepared for Pearl Harbor? 9/11? It’s not realistic to think that Hospital Administration across the globe would keep the number of supplies available that we’re using now. I don’t think your average person understands the amount of PPE supplies it is taking to to protect hospital staff rt now. It is mind boggling.

I can source only large volumes from the USA or around the world. My group has connections with companies or individuals who buy them and then sell them in 1-5 million pieces. Can be any 3M brand but we often get asked to find 3M N95 1860

I honostly don't get the shite storm over this.

I went to my local Kroger yesterday and almost every employee had a N-95 mask on but this guy is somehow hoarding by getting 4 masks?

I'm hearing these horror stories about hospital ER's but my local Kroger has em for their employees? Sorry some of these hospital horror stories aren't adding up.

Either these hospital administrators are beyond incompetent or these stories are boarderline BS.
