Yep. Let's make all of our Warfighters into motherly nurturing types.

Officers were disciplined when they criticized Clinton

You claim to be retired military. I’ll take that at face value.
I never served (much to my regret), but most of family has and I have 1LT son and daughter-in-law.
My view: Senior military officers are fully permitted to have opinions and viewpoints different than their chain of command. They can even discuss those informally among peers. They should NEVER put it in writing, especially as an open letter to all ranks and to entities of other countries.
I find it hard to believe you see this as OK if you spent that long in uniform.

Even General Douglas MacArthur was relieved of his command by President Truman, primarily because he publicly disagreed with and undermined the administration's policy of limiting the Korean War.
Hell, they killed Patton.

Something tells me you don’t know how this military thing works. You question superiors in an open discussion but not openly in a mass email.

Removing from command is justified. Ruining the individual's career and negatively effecting their post military career for something that isn't a crime.
Tell me you don't know shite about the miltary, without telling me you don't know shite about the military.
Probably never served either.
Regardless of what she thought, her actions prove she was not fit for Command.

Just more drama from the folks who use Drama to hide their dysfunctions.

It's in the oath she and every military member took.
I agree with this and the rest saying that the military isnt the same.
My thing is that she is a woman. Put emotional reactions to the side, are women trained the same way as men, when this is beat into them. Men come from sports back grounds that have hard coaches that work it into them. Especially if not taught at home.
It's like for me, my dad beat the chain of command in his household mentality into my brothers and I. My sisters didn't get handled that way.

That's a bit of a knee jerk, don't you think? Military members are normal people. God forbid they have opinions and aren't robots and "yes men".
They can have all the opinions that they want when it comes to foreign policy. They just aren’t allowed to express them, especially in command positions. And super especially not allowed to contradict the elected leadership of the country to foreign military personnel publicly.

Examples must be made. Worst case is this makes other officers keep their mouths shut and best case it encourages more left leaning and female officers to resign.
