Wouldn't doubt it. He's smart enough to know the truth, but he also knows that he can't stray too far from the hive mentality which exists inside the Hollywood Bubble.

He isn’t voting red, but he has a very powerful platform that hopefully keeps the socialist in check. The problem is he is getting older, and the kids coming out of college now are not the one who will be watching. Maybe he can keep the old guard democrats from voting in the socialist, but that party is lost. It’s time for multi-parties. I see us going the way of Europe soon, the problem is our current setup of terms and voting cycle allows for a group to gain a ton of power and hold it

This is a good one. The gasps from the crowd were great. Maher may be opening their eyes a little. He even criticized Newsom for supporting the DSA.

At least he is warning the democratic party nonstop that they need to stop the onslaught of weird commie lefties.
This time before the last midterms he said it was an existential crisis to defeat the Republicans.
For the first time in my lifetime he has said he is open to voting outside the democrat party.
Will he still vote Democrat? Probably but the right moderate conservative running in his district has a small chance of getting his vote. 1 year ago that chance would have been zero. Now I think it is higher than you think.
Even Carville has stated he might not be able to continue voting D if the lunatic socialist commies keep winning. Once again a statement that has not even entered his brain in the prior 40 years but now he is worried about the state of the Democrat party.

I don't know. He has always welcomed discourse with conservatives, and has consistently been critical of Islam and socialism/communism over years. The left attacks him for it, and he doesn't seem to give a shite. The Hollywood Bubble has already strayed from him.
That's why I believe him when he says his vote is "in play". For those who don't watch Maher regularly, this is not the first time he has basically pleaded for Democrats to disassociate from the lunatic commies and love their country, warts and all. He wouldn't bother taking this stance if he was just going to keep voting Dem no matter what.
