I take care of my shite, worry about my family and close friends, and I don't get into any bigger things with anyone else that doesn't have any effect on me.

Yes.
And, ironically, the ones I gave up on (particularly my black coworkers) have woken up on their own now.
Been on vacation since Christmas Eve, but just before took my PTO, I was listening to those guys talk about how they "know a lot of people who regret voting for Biden" and "Biden is an idiot who doesn't know what he's doing, and lies about everything".
Now, they still won't admit they voted for him because obviously they're embarrassed AF right now, but they're being vocal about Democratic leadership being an absolute joke. One guy I've worked with there for 16 years and I tried and tried to wake him up until earlier this year when I finally just gave up. Around September, it was him who began engaging me in political discourse again, and he seemed to be changing his tune slightly but I didn't trust it. Sometime between Thanksgiving and Christmas though, he had an epiphany.
Still, at this point, I'd bet money that those guys continue to vote for Democrats.
