I’m not so sure about that. This was the “does fat or sugar cause health problems” debate and sugar won. Our diets as a whole have been shite ever since, leading to untold medical costs. It took 50 years for the real truth to even begin to get out.

No. For God’s sake, man, the peer review process has been gold, and it has served us well. It can be corrupted, as it was when Anthony Fauci bullied and bribed his way to “consensus” on covid-19. But no system is going to work if the people are corrupt.
