I've no sympathy for the "victims" in this story except for the fact that their neighbors are kinda victims of it too.

I don't disagree with this. It's probably the case that until the left finally sees that this shite is disgusting, we'll keep having it.
I don't really think you and I are far off. I think you hate this shite as much as I do. And, I agree with you that it is perfectly understandable that the left is getting a taste of its own shite.

What I would like to see is some sort of expansion on slander/libel laws within a “cancel culture” context. If you send a twitter mob after someone for political beliefs protected by free speech, and they suffer damages. You should be crushed in civil court… and maybe criminal.

He killed the journalist.

Right but unfortunately, we're living in different times now where there is no discourse. You don't have discourse with people who view the current system wrong and needs to be totally dismantled and replaced. They don't respect your view and they want to silence it. So yeah, we have free speech but let them feel the consequences of their speech for a change.
