Had the same thing happen to me. Former co-worker. Good person, but on the Lib spectrum she's toward the crazy end of the scale.

I just didn't go cry about it on a message board. I'm still good friends with mutual friends of ours who are also pretty far right.
I know it's shocking to this board of kooks, but you can still be friends with someone who thinks differently than you do. He couldn't handle it, so See Ya.
I've unfollowed several friends because they spout political BS nonstop. On both sides. Didn't end any friendships, just didn't want to see it every freaking hour.

I remember reading a book about JFK in law school, can't remember the exact title but it was something like "Fall of Camelot", and there was a chapter in there all about how many of the guys on his secret service detail couldn't stand him because of how much he cheated on Jackie and how he pretty much made their job impossible.

I can just tell you this. I, as well as several of my more conservative friends all have basically the same policy. We don't delete people on FB. I've deleted exactly ONE person and that person started bringing up VERY personal shite on my wall.
ALL of us experienced a mass exodus of friends at the end of 2016.
Moreover, that's not just anecdote because they've taken the time to study the phenomenon and, yup, sure as shite...........liberals win the friend deleting contest by a WIDE margin.
