Had A Liberal Friend Tell Me She Can't Associate With Me Because I Like Trump

I knew people that had this happen to them, but I had never had it happen to me personally until yesterday.
I don't have many liberal friends and the ones I do have are mostly idiots who are liberals because it's "against the grain" in their eyes.
I met this girl back in high school over a decade ago and we would chat a few times per year. We used to argue with each other regarding politics but never anything serious.
Well, yesterday I got a text from her for the first time in probably a year. It was obviously a wrong number, so I responded telling her I think she sent it to the wrong person and asked how she was doing.
She responded, "Oh, sorry. And, I mean I like you as a person and all but I just cannot associate with someone who supports a man as bigoted and dead-set on inciting violence as Trump."
I just responded, "Well that's a shame."
And that was all... No response.
I was kind of shocked and still am. I knew she was pretty hard lib, but didn't realize she had completely jumped off the deep end.

I'm fortunate that I have a hard core, liberal black friend that pushes the left's garbage to my Messenger account and in return I push Truth and Conservative values to his. We stay good-natured about it. Rare to find.

The toxicity of leftism cannot be overstated. It's amazing how readily those who completely buy in are to sever lifelong associations. Over votes for strangers who don't even know your friggin' name.
My own little sister sneak unfriended me on facebook a few weeks back. Mind you, I'm friends with liberals and conservatives alike both on fb and irl. As far as the platform itself goes, 98% of my posts are related to sports or posting pics of my family. My YouTube channel has a private page. Most of my political stuff on fb is in private groups to which she has no access. Up until I posted about voting last week (in a rather benign manner), I hadn't posted anything about politics since 2016.
Didn't matter. She found my posts "troubling," and when I went to send her a pic through fb messenger randomly, I'm having to resubmit a friend request for my own sister. I'm not mad at her, per se--I'm mad at leftism for encouraging this crap.

I know a girl that’s married to a B List celebrity who calls out her own Dad on Twitter in terms so vile it boggles the mind. This is common. It’s the intolerance of the Fundamentalist Progressive, a kind of closed mind that is not interested in any kind of honest exchange of ideas. It just wants to stay attached to anger and sanctimony. It’s very important to these people to hate you properly.
