Objectively, more guns = more gun deaths.
There are more guns in America now and there are fewer gun deaths than before.

This brings us back to square one.

Would you like to try again?

"Represented" isn't the word you wanted there - it's "influenced" or "affected".

Represented is absolutely correct. I'm talking about inputs. You're talking about something else.

Now, explain how the two variables that I referenced are represented by confounders.

I'll wait.

And if you check the thread, you'll notice I did that very early on by providing the link to the data/studies which directly support my point.

When you make an assertion in real life and someone questions you, do you run away and bring someone else to discuss it with them while departing the area yourself?

Because that's what you're doing when you are asked to explain YOUR assertion and all you do is say, "here, read this".

I already did - because "more guns" doesn't refer to the total number of guns but rather the rate of ownership in the population and/or the ease of accessing said guns.

And, again, because you're not really comparing similar scenarios when you take a snapshot of 2 different times and compare them without controlling for other variables which may affect the outcome.

Obviously.

There have been surveys that have accounted for this.

Surveys like this can't be verified as truth.
It's not like a census.

No, that was more the product of decades of reading scientific papers.

Though this would have all been shorter if you had just googled "confounder" when we started...

That isn't what you said.

That's what you said.

Yeah, I'm calling you out for that.

You definitely looked this up on Google. It makes a lot more sense now. Go back to that search and dig in a little more. Don't go to Wikipedia, though. Try an academic source.

You're welcome.

Access to a gun is probably the most obvious predictor.

But isn't true. We have more guns in this country, and the number of gun deaths doesn't correlate to that increase.

We don't all have to google simple terminology - I know this is hard for you, but that's expected.

I'd say pointing a firearm at someone and pulling the trigger would both be more obvious.

I know you look up to people like this because they're marginally smarter than you, but CT politicians are fricking retards.

BOMBSHELL REPORT. The "beautiful military equipment" Trump sold Saudi Arabia and UAE is now in the hands of Al Qaeda aligned militias. One group drives U.S. made armored vehicles now. This is what happens when you flood a war zone with more weapons.

No, we don't. But every time you reference it, it's something that is literally the first thing in Google. It also explains why you fricked it up.
