No, they don't. I remember the Harvard study that Obama didn't want to talk about. Remember that? Good times.

Objective data do not support your claims. Only when agenda-driven, subjective conclusions are introduced do you get anything approaching support.

I don't care. I'm just showing that you can't admit you were wrong. You've never admitted that you fricked that up. If you couldn't do that for years, I don't expect a miracle today.

Of course they do.

Is it too late in this thread to point out that Bama is trying to use ownership RATE on one side of the equation and the raw number of murders on the other?

If you did, you might want fewer of them around so we'd have fewer deaths.
Got some facts to back this up?

In the US, gun ownership has decreased over time.

VERY debatable- unless you believe people are always truthful about what they privately own. And you can thank the constant public maligning of them by the left for this. They have made "gun" a dirty word, in many circles. I personally know more than a few people who identify as "liberals" who own guns- and don't want their like-minded friends to know they do.

I'm using ownership rate and murder rate - both of which decreased. Though really I'm using neither since I don't have to rely on trends over time to make my point.

What are you using, did you forget already?

Wrong.

It wouldn't matter if I had ignored it.

I don't need to look at a link that you claim proves the Easter Bunny exists for the same reason.

Of course they do.

Then provide them.

I'll wait.

There have been surveys that have accounted for this.

I'm still trying to figure out how she went from two variables to confounders.

The trouble is that the link goes to data and research that prove my assertion - closing your eyes and covering your ears and shouting at yourself won't change that you're wrong here.

Go on, admit you were wrong. It's okay.

No it doesn't. I already explained why. You have subjectivity and you're trying to pass it off as objectivity.

I won't allow it.

If you check the thread, you'll notice that the only thing I've done is challenged you to provide your explanation of YOUR understanding of the statistics and why they support your assertion.

My only response regarding my position was that I don't own guns because I'm worried about total deaths.

Try and keep up.

Explain how the two variables that I referenced are represented by confounders.

No, you made a baseless assertion that goes against reality. That's not an explanation so much as you spouting nonsense.

Objectively, more guns = more gun deaths. As per the link you were provided.

"Represented" isn't the word you wanted there - it's "influenced" or "affected".

See, you don't know your words and somehow we go 10 pages because you don't understand why you're wrong. This would be so much faster if you'd just admit you'd never heard of that word before today.

And if you check the thread, you'll notice I did that very early on by providing the link to the data/studies which directly support my point.

Wrong. That's apparent if you understand research, even a little.

Objectively, more guns = more gun deaths.

Explain how we have more guns in this country and a gun death total that doesn't correlate to that.

I'll wait.
