I think this is the part when you tell us how Christian and morally superior you are.
Oh look, one of those people who start judging Christianity and your beliefs before they even know you.

Everyone who gets arrested should be forced to farm in 90 degree+ weather? Is that your position?
Everyone who gets arrested goes to jail.
There are people who farm and work construction and perform manual labor in 90+ degree weather in Louisiana and they have not done anything to go to prison. Hot weather and humidity is new in Louisiana? As someone who previously worked construction and landscaping in the Deep South during summer, even pulling 12 hour days... frick you. If the worst criminals at Angola are punished in this manner, it is appropriate... and since tax dollars are going to fund their shelter, food, healthcare, etc., the least some of those scumbags can do is work and make themselves useful.

What are you talking about? This Board is filled with Jews and Sigma Nu’s with the occasional Mormon or Scientologist posting for DEI purposes.

Yep. These people choose this work and are compensated appropriately. These people are also afforded certain protections that the inmates are not, like sunscreen, hats, clean water and breaks.

How many people get put in Angola for possession of marijuana?
Possession of cannabis, even a first offense, gets you up to 30 years in prison in Louisiana.
As a previous, longtime criminal defense attorney in Louisiana... where does a first or second offense possession of cannabis get you 30 years? I saw a few people in St. Tammany get some considerable years but they were habitual offenders and longtime criminals. So, where does that actually happen even remotely regularly? It may have happened a couple times, but those instances are outliers. That is hardly a regular occurrence.

It is absolutely appropriate to judge someone based on his behavior when he knows he won't be held accountable for it. Someone who behaves like a total a-hole online behind a screen name is a coward and certainly isn't acting like a Christian.

Have you ever worked a single day in a field? I have. It sounds like Angola prisoners have the same condition as every farm laborer out laying irrigation in crop fields, walking the levees in rice fields to make sure the water level is right, people checking cotton for bugs, as well as manual laborers such as roofers or road construction crews etc.

Why dont you tell us about how you weep for the thousands of people who work outside daily? Roofers, framers, landscape, welding, farmers etc.
Do you think the state of Louisiana is forcing these people to do this work for two cents an hour and denying them sunscreen, hats, clean water and breaks?
Why would you bring up what someone chooses to do and compare it to what the government forces others to do?

I can't believe this thread is still going, providing you with your attention fix.
Here's a novel idea....don't do shite that will put you in Angola and other fine institutions of confinement in Louisiana.

All of these workers are paid less than minimum wage and are prohibited from wearing hats and sunscreen? All of these workers are denied breaks? All of these workers lack access to clean water when they're working?
You'd think OSHA would be all over these employers.

Where's the bible verse that encourages people to act like assholes while disguising their identities?

That’s a deflection. And you’re doing it again.

Why are you so emotional? Why must you be a victim in every thread?
I don't care who claims to be a Republican or a Democrat. It has nothing to do with what this thread is discussing.
If you want to feel victimized because you support abhorrent policies, that's your choice. I truly dgaf what you do.
