It’s a fair point to say that you agree with the strategy and enforcement, while also admitting that the training and execution need improvement.
Here's the thing, though: Homan didn't agree with the strategy and enforcement. Homan pushed to keep the focus on gang bangers, drug dealers, traffickers, violent offenders. Bovino...and Noem...were the ones who were behind raiding restaurants and Home Depots.

1. Create a hierarchy of those criminal aliens.
2. Prioritize picking those up.
3. Blast their crimes all over social media, news, etc.
4. Gain the support of most reasonable people.
This was what Homan wanted to keep the focus on.

What's happened is that they picked up a few lawn guys along the way and pissed off the sky screaming blue hair people. Now they can't walk it back.
Bovino...and Noem... were behind the focus to hit restaurants and Home Depot and scoop all of them up.

Trump (and other republican leaders, like GA) are responding to the fallout. It’s actually totally rational and probably wise in an election year. Esp for those who hope to still be in power in the post Trump world.
It’s really not that complicated.

Something that's being lost here is laying essentially federal siege to a city and dealing with all the issues of crowd control and arrest of us citizens behaving poorly isn't their mission.
What's really being lost is the reason behind all the 'protest'
The agents are doing their job = removing illegal aliens from the USA - starting with those who have criminal records. These people are not supposed to be here. US law says to remove them. There is no US law that says to give them sanctuary. Those idiocies are all brought upon us by the states and cities who choose to flaunt US law and dare anyone to do anything about it. All democrat administrations have turned turned a blind eye to the wholesale law-breaking going on constantly within their communities.
And - which is worse - they are doing in for their own political advantage rather than the benefit of the illegal aliens. And they are committing real felonies in the process = not only by their malfeasance in doing their duty, but in actively participating in criminal activity and profiting in two ways.
- I) the very existence of these illegal aliens pump up the Census numbers in their locations - this gives these states more representation in the US Congress than they deserve. Across the nation, illegal aliens give the democrat party up to at least a dozen extra representatives.
- 2) These illegal aliens should not be allowed to vote. HOWEVER, these corrupt states disregard the law. They not only register them to vote, they also participate in massive fraud to make sure all those 'voters' actually have a ballot cast in their name. You know it - everyone knows it - to claim it doesn't happen is a known lie.
IN ADDITION - the Somali aliens in Minnesota - for the most part - do not provide anything useful to normal citizens. They are a drain on the welfare system siphoning off money that could be used for truly unfortunate citizens who need the assistance.
BUT WORSE - there is a HUGE CORRUPTION problem in Minnesota (in addition to many other democrat controlled states.) They set up fictitious organizations that get billions of dollars from the US taxpayers that are supposed to be used for the care and feeding of disadvantaged children. These organization are abject frauds - taking money and providing ZERO actual care.
OF COURSE - everybody know all this - yet they all expect the US LAW enforcement to treat the situation as if they were dealing with honest partners - where EVERYONE KNOW the 'partners' they are forced to deal with are rotten criminals themselves.
I discount as totally worthless any complaint by anyone who actually supports the Minnesota elected officials.
I can feel sorry for the individual whose live was taken - but he is solely responsible for inserting himself into the situation where nothing is guaranteed to be absolutely perfect - by either side.
EVEN IF there is something in the actions that 'could have been done better' I find NO REASON to expect perfection in a situation manufactured to put the person in constant peril of being assaulted, harassed and obstructed by the same people Petti lost his life supporting.
That was all his fault. He had months, and weeks, and days, and hours, and seconds, to consciously assess his planned actions and to evaluate them for potential risk.
The agents had tenths of seconds to respond to potential threats to their lives around on by the company the guy voluntarily associated himself with.
Nothing is being "lost here" - the people responsible for this sad outcome are merely continuing their unlawful, amoral, idiotic assaults on on the only people there who are trying to enforce the law, excise the fraud, and make the streets safe for actual citizens of the states.

what does that mean, exactly?
Rounding up illegals, 70+% with domestic criminal arrests, at a less that 0.5% error rate isnt good enough? That's better than we've ever done, so the real answer is people dont have the stomach from the lunatic lefts temper tantrum.

That's a fake poll.
You know this but the poll is not fake, the interpretation of the poll is fake. As discussed yesterday 16% in the disapproval column want more deportations and more aggressive ICE raids. Just reiterating for others.
