lol a country with 57k people with no army and was getting 1/4 of its GDP from Denmark has ZERO chance of actually being independent. This is angling for the best deal
Only bad thing is the apparently this party is pro EU in some ways. Not only would that be a horrible idea because then they would be drafted into their coming wars, but we wouldn’t allow it and simply take it by force in that case

Good for them but be careful what you vote for…. They are now faced with the real issues.. do they attempt to remain a sovereign nation or do they revert to someone else’s territory. Personally don’t see how hey can go it alone without someone stepping in but we’re going to frick them on that deal as will any other nation with the resources available and willing.. the private equity side would turn that place into some authoritarian oligarchy ..

Party that won is for spiltting from Denmark. They are center-right and pro-business. They have a hell of a lot in common with MAGA and Trump. When Greenlanders realize their income could easily double and even more they will want to align with the U.S. in some capacity. Greenlanders know know they cannot stand alone. You will be surprised how much Trump waving billions of dollars at them will affect their decisions.

They don’t have to be a territory of the U.S.
Just become a sovereign nation and make a deal with the U.S. where we invest in extracting resources there, create jobs, allow US citizens easy travel and work visas in Greenland, and native Greenlanders get a portion of revenue from the mineral resources. And U.S. offers military protection to them

As I laid out above they dont have a choice. They dont have the economic ability to support themselves without denmark providing 25% of their gdp in subsidies. They can either join in a joint economic deal, or become a territory which is often the best deal. If not we will simply just take it by force and no one can do shite about it, they know it, the world knows it.
Greenland is the most important place on the planet for anti nuclear missile systems from russia and china and we simply need their rare earths. Which joining in with us would make them way more wealthy.
We can do it the easy way or the hard way, but it is going to happen. Thats why it is a win for trump. Denmark nor the EU no longer has any legitimacy here.
