Aside from the high speed chase, was he physically resisting arrest which might be explain the choke hold and stun?

I believe the deal on that is a/the federal investigation was to be concluded before the footage would be released to the public. By all accounts the family and family's attorney were allowed to view the footage last year.

I try to take an objective view of these videos and ignore the talking points from either side. Objectively that video was fricked up and those cops were acting insane.

And to add some detail, it wasn't released today by State Police, the AP got an unauthorized video and released it.
The Hayride has made the argument that JBE squashed the video release (state police reports to him after all) since it would have hurt his reelection chances in 2019. There is no proof of that, but it is pretty fishy.

Don't care what the current climate is in the U.S. this is just flat wrong. Don't care what he did previously because once in handcuffs it is over. Pretty chickenshit to frick up someone that is defenseless in handcuffs on the ground.
This being 100% wrong does not affect my support for the police. The police in this video do not deserve my support, the remaining 99.8% of the police across this nation do. Time to flush the bad ones out one way or the other. Prosecute them for assault.
