You idiot...when the president mobilizes guard units under title 10 they cannot be used for any law enforcement purposes.

They can fill sandbags.

Only title 32 NG units can be used in any law enforcement capacity.

Come on where are you at Alabama, Mississippi, or Texas? One of those governors should publicly come out and support Florida and promise their states NG to assist Florida if needed.

Can’t federalize the state police or the sheriffs. In many states, those are more significant than the national guard. And in any case, why would the national guard follow Pedo Joe to the detriment of their friends and neighbors?

Here is what should happen. DeSantis or Abbot or any other like minded Governor should deputize it's citizenry. And make it illegal for anyone even a fed to strip a state resident of their constitutional rights. This deputization would like citizen deputies to protect themselves and even arrest illegal actions taken by feds.

"Governor's ultimately have no control over their national guards."

Correct. They're basically nothing but US Army reserve units in the guise of state forces. Which is why we should do away with the Guard and go back to REAL state-sponsored militias. Unconnected to the US Army.

Remember a long time ago....like last summer, when Trump hinting at doing this to stop cities from being burned down by riots? Remember when he was called a dictator and compared to Hitler for hinting at the notion of mobilizing the NG? Those were fun times less than 6 months ago. Crazy how much public (liberal) opinion can change in a matter of months right? Sending in the NG to Florida to prevent interstate travel sounds like a fantastic idea to unify this country and totally necessary to stop a virus that has been on a precipitous decline the past month

Texas has not only a sizable state guard and a huge citizens militia we also have Texans disproportionately represented in spec ops. Texans who grew up pledging allegiance to Texas.

I hope independence doesn’t become a shooting war, but if it does enough troops will break to the Republic of Texas to combine with the citizen militia we will be formidable.

Combine our immediate control of most sources of refined energy and the Yankees will be in more trouble than you think.

EO10730..issued by Eisenhower sept 1957 to put Arkansas Nat guard under federal control....while awaiting for 1000 troops from the 101Arbn to take control...that lasted almost 5 days...so, it can be done. Any doubt let google be your search.

So the Feds can’t stop massive voter fraud, but they can stop people from freely leaving a state? I guess they have selective powers!

He could hire a couple hundred thousand new state troopers and give them the same mission of the national guard. Paying for that might prove to be impossible but where there’s a will there’s a way.

If it got to this our country would be in a world of hurt don't you think? Things would not go well after this. There would be a reckoning.
