There are thousands, if not millions, of military vet bros out there with 100% disability and tons of them are doing Jiu jitsu, CrossFit, triathlons, etc. This is a fact. It is an absolute scam and fraud.

Being a veteran does not insulate you from being criticized for bad behavior.

Conservatives criticize bad actions regardless of political class

Progressives criticize political classes regardless of actions.

I’m not talking about staying home and getting paid…disability…I’m talking about getting ahead of a group of job candidates by claiming you have ADHD. The hiring folks coach this up and direct select the ‘disabled’ one.

Maybe that was once the case but not when I was getting out. They literally told everyone out processing soldier they could find some amount of disability. I had to tell them no for myself because frankly there was nothing preventing me from being productive even though technically I’m sure they could find something.

Agent orange was like 50 years ago.

As a veteran, I welcome this. I will say for those who have never went thru military/VA process, there is exams and evidence required for claims it’s not just writing something down and getting cash. It also covers everything so in all honesty it really wouldn’t be hard for every veteran to be 100%. However there are a lot of changes that could be made to tighten that up. I’ll admit it was weird seeing boot Marines when I was at wounded warrior bn.

When I got out I went on a med board while being attached to wounded warrior bn. It’s ridiculous how in depth that place is for wounded, severe injured, and ill Marines doing the sep process vs marines in regular units doing their med board/Marines getting out making claims. I wish all service members had the access to the services that were offered towards transition and unlimited healthcare that I had there. I’m also very grateful for those who donate to things like those wounded warrior battalions in different services, fisher houses and everything else that’s donated or provided during treatment and recovery.

DOGE should look at military disability as well.

"i HaVe SlEeP aPnEa I'm NiNeTy PeRcEnT dIsAbLeD"

Meanwhile the tough guy with the crooked spine who didn't cry about it gets nothing and can't get treatment when it really hits him 5-10 years after separation.

No one is shitting on veterans.

Now back to putting flowers in your hair and spitting on Vietnam vets.

The PTSD fraud is the biggest scam in the military and it's about impossible to root out. There are people that never left the US getting 30%-50% disability for the rest of their lives by claiming PTSD.

A good plan is to put government in charge of all healthcare.

Why are a lot of responses about the military?

If I fake I have a disability and get hired over you at the IRS because of dei, that’s still a government worker circumventing competition by claiming disability. And now I also have some built in excuse to make it harder to fire me for sucking.

so sending an email stating that you have two do two things is 1. reply in a timely manner and 2. reply with a list of 5 things started, completed, or otherwise accomplished over a 7 day period is defined as "shitting on veterans"?

I'm willing to bet, with the exception of the fruadulent non-existent positions filled, the response rate from Veterans is significantly higher than their peers AND any Veteran would scoff at the 'pain' and 'meltdown' their peers are feeling over a simple email.

It's such a low bar to meet and any Veteran has documented their activities on regular basis while in the service that this is more a relief than a imposition.

Tim Walz is a veteran. Not all are equal. And some even lie about their service.

Also, being a veteran doesn’t mean you get to defraud taxpayers.

Yea right. It’s called a Dr.s note. Literally. It’s generally how the civil servants pick up contractors…and probably friends/family.

Even with 10 doctor’s notes, it takes about 2 years. It’s a slow system. My BIL is going through this now and he’s had 2 strokes in the last 3 years. Dude can’t work even if he wanted to.

Perhaps he should have and he should go get an exam if it’s so bad because he’d at least get a rating for treatment. But it’s likely not the case and just another story because again if there is legit evidence then they would have at least a zero rating.

You are completely off base and full of shite. Veterans abuse the hell out of ptsd and disability, and it's rampant. PTSD is a serious condition, but 10s of thousands of them get a fake diagnosis. They get 9n disability for almost anything and stay there on purpose. So many able bodied vets, won't work unless it's for cash....because if they go over 16k per year, they lose benefits. They literally stay under VA care and don't work as they could, to keep the fake benefits given thru disability.
So it clogs up the VA with their repeated visits.
Getting that kind of abuse cleaned up is vital to those who really need those benefits and VA facilities.
