ON WEDNESDAY, the Justice Department announced it had filed charges against a man allegedly working for the Indian government to orchestrate the assassination of a U.S. citizen earlier this year. An Indian government official allegedly instructed Nikhil Gupta, an Indian national, to coordinate the murder of a Sikh separatist living in New York.

The indictment alleges that Gupta, after being recruited by the Indian government official, hired a hitman and paid him a $15,000 advance to carry out the murder this past summer. The hitman was actually an undercover agent for the Drug Enforcement Administration. According to a report on the indictment in the Washington Post, the intended target of the killing was Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, general counsel for the New York-based Sikh activist group Sikhs for Justice. In the DEA’s press release, Assistant Attorney General Matthew G. Olsen said investigators had “foiled and exposed a dangerous plot to assassinate a U.S. citizen on U.S. soil.”

I don’t understand why hitmen are so cheap. If I’m facing life or death penalty if I get caught you’re gonna have to do a lot better than fifteen grand.

Second plot alleged this year. They had one in Canada recently too.

On a macro level, we want India on our side as a counter to China. That makes me think this was egregious if we’re going public with it.

Why is the Poli board a washed down version of 4chan?

You guys are reinventing the wheel here.

I don't see anything in the OP that would warrant your response. You're coming across as being pretty childish. Grow up

So what you're saying is that India has their version of the CIA.

Riveting.

The target is a friggin designated terrorist in India and instead of the US assisting and arresting him.....we make him a citizen. So India is handling it, would we do any different.......wait, wait

didnt we invade a sovereign country and assassinate a terrorist some years ago?????????

By the way, anyone can become a us citizen, forget that huddled masses nonsense. There is a govt program where you invest around a million dollars and bingo you are in. Why do you think those super exclusive island enclaves off Miami Beach are full of eastern european oligarchs and cartel kingpins. Its an exclusive club and you and I aint in it.

Or, the WEF hates the conservative leadership in India and is making up more bullshite to slander him and India. This is very likely.

Jackson, you’re onto something. It’s why I sometimes get in trouble here.

IF the FedGov of the USA disregards its own national sovereignty by practicing open borders, how can we expect India to respect our national sovereignty?

It looks like $15k was just the up-front money.
